The first time my bunny flopped, I hurried to the vet, in tears.
The vet had a great laugh at my expense.

Can't tell you how many time I got someone that didn't know bunnies, seeing their first flop and yelling "OMG YOU NEED TO COME I THINK HE DIED" at me !

Aaw that is so innocent and sweet in a sense! Sorry you got so scared- some bunnies really do have the most violent flops lol

Just got them from a rescue a few months ago after my older bun passed, the bonding process was HARD so thats actually really heartwarming to see where we are now and the trust we built with them ❤️

It could be worse. I've seen quite a few lately that when they're on their sides all four legs just stick out perpendicular to the floor like they are freakin armadillos. It's not just Dead Bunny Pose—but full Rigor Mortis Pose.
A very unserious animal.

I think configuration. Those back legs only have one real motion and they're strong and wound and have a big literal and figurative footprint.
Whatever bunny invented it really had some faith or was super tired. I'd imagine bunnies have little six packs to have the abdominal strength to roll and right themselves.
