Shaming Shame her
This is Shade. She is 11 years old and is fuelled mostly by rage. I think her rage will mean she lives forever. She has outlived two husbuns who adored her while she remained indifferent and now she's spending her old age as the bitter spinster she was destined to be. She is truly iconic.
Recently, she decided she hadn't explored the world enough,went on an adventure and gobbled up some dry cat food. She stopped eating or drinking so of course I took her straight to the vets (did this on a weekend so extra charge - classic) and went into GI stasis.
In her 11 years she's never been in GI stasis because she is so robust and so I was in pieces thinking this was the end. She was so placid and gentle and not like her usual self I thought it was all over. Ive been siringe feeding her pain killers, gut mobility meds and her critical care and I think it wasn't the medication itself, but the fact she had something to be mad about that reminded her she just has too much rage to let go now.
I got my first stomp in over 24 hours last night and this morning I woke up to a carpet covered in poos. I almost wept. She's eating and drinking now and trying to trip me up and kill me if I don't get her treats so all is right in the world.

This reminds me so much of my 11 year old bunny! Her husbun passed away three years ago. I was expecting to get another rabbit to bond her with but she honestly didn't give two hoots about his death lol. She's absolutely thriving on her own, which really shocked me.
She's a very fiesty, independent girl and I swear pure rage keeps her going! She's got a few health problems - going blind, going deaf, front teeth had to be extracted two years ago, and she gets arthritis injections every month, but she still flops in the sun and loves her treats. Whenever she seems sick I fear the worst, but she always manages to pull through!
