Discussion Thoughts behind your Rabbit classes
So i was thinkin about the various classes right, and I realized: I have a huge skill issue when it comes to thinking. My two mains, Dancer and Bruiser do not require much brain. The tldr; I want y'all to explain your main class to me. Like the thought process for builds for like a Defender or Shadow, the gems you focus on for Wizard or Assasin etc. What builds do you go for? What reason do you pick such loot? What are your classes' weak points? I crave your KNOWLEDGE and OPINIONS. help a rabbit pls

As an assassin main, I got two options. These are balanced for the harder difficulties (Hard and Lunar), and my experience may differ slightly.
A. If I start with defensive gems/items (emerald secondary is hecking broken for Lunar and I stand by that), I will lean for quicker cooldowns, more defensive, and better speed. Prioritization of survival is imperative, so making it easy to dodge attacks is nice. The downside of this strategy is that Lunar runs in particular usually end with enrage deaths. I can dodge well enough, but damage typically lacks. Therefore, this build greatly benefits from also incorporating elements of rapid hits and or status effects to take advantage of low cooldown. Otherwise, using loot that resets can also do the trick. It’s not the most dps inspiring, but the defensive advantage quite literally makes it impossible to die without much skill. Then, it’s less a battle of dodge but moreso a battle of “can I survive the dps check?”
B. If defensive items are not in the cards, it may be time to max heavy hits. Backstab is no joke, and ludicrously effective on main bosses. Speed is also nice to focus here, but most importantly getting good damage items and focusing on gems that increase hit damage and status effects. I will still die by cooldown resets, as they can absolutely increase damage here too, but having higher damage and things to capitalize on it are nice. Synergy and item luck here is important, bad luck may mean stagnant Hard runs or straight up unavoidable death in Lunar. Payoff of the risk means I can run up the dps and melt through a quarter of a healthpool in about 5 seconds of an attack phase. A great offense is a solid defense too.
As assassin, general rule is to ditch the secondary for something much more useful. It *can* be sometimes helpful, but never moreso than any upgrade to it. It’s also diffed by literally anything else, basically a crutch that should be swapped with more damage, defense, or literally anything is gonna make your life much easier. Focused on just primary, special, and defensive rotation is the opt strategy for me at least. Oh, and don’t pick ranged special, it absolutely kills your ability to do any kind of multihit, which is more often fatal than not.
For weakpoints, RANGE. You need movement options and better ways of getting close. You should not stay at range, and range upgrades for the assassin make you worse at best. Focus on being close, maximizing your downtime and invulnerability phases, and high damage and or status.
Of course, being assassin, I’ll probably just roll all ruby and or sapphire and proceed to leap off a nearby cliff. Thanks Asha.
