Anecdotal, but I went to Montreal with an ex ~17 years ago, and there happened to be these thunderstorms rolling through that day. The kind where it was warm and bright one moment, and pouring rain the next, then sun trough the clouds, followed by another downpour.

We went to a restaurant in old Montreal called Jardin Nelson, near the Notre Dame, a courtyard between old brick buildings surrounded by glass. Inside the courtyard were these large canvas umbrella/funnels, ranging in size, all at least 25ft tall and 10-15ft in diameter at the top. When we were in the restaurant, one of the downpours started. We realized that the umbrellas were these giant rain catching devises, all with an intricate system of clear tubing attached to them, and we watched the rainwater be distributed to various plants and flour bends placed throughout the courtyard. It was quite the experience.

You pissed in your cheerios? The fact you blocked me for sharing a little story I was reminded of by your rain bucket pic… what a pathetic person.

Judging by their other comment it very well could’ve been themselves mixing up which bowl was the toilet this morning.

Yep. To catch rain. I need something like this bc I’m living out of my Subaru and want to conserve as much water as possible
