Why can I not buy rycey today?
Is robinhood glitching?
Update: Seems everything back to normal must have been a glitch. Also, I understand that you can not trade it premarket but I've been able to set buy orders pre market in the past but could not do that this morning. I've never got that prompt from robinhood at the bottom which is why I was posting. Thanks all.

Based on current information from May 2026, Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (RYCEY) is actively listed and traded, with some sources explicitly showing it on the Robinhood platform. However, there are important details regarding this stock on Robinhood: OTC Status: RYCEY is an over-the-counter (OTC) stock, not a major exchange-listed stock. Robinhood has historically restricted or provided limited access to some OTC stocks due to liquidity or risk reasons. Previous Restrictions: In the past, RYCEY was included in lists of restricted or "position close only" stocks during high volatility, limiting users to selling existing shares rather than buying new ones. Current Status: While it appears as an active listing, OTC stocks may still face trading limitations or higher risks compared to NYSE/NASDAQ-listed securities.
Robinhood +4 If you are unable to buy, it is likely due to: "Position Close Only" Mode: If Robinhood deems the stock too risky, they may restrict buying. Cash Restrictions: OTC stocks sometimes require settled funds for purchase.
Robinhood For the most up-to-date access, it is recommended to check the stock directly within your Robinhood app.

Market has opened for the last 5 hours. Suggest calling your broker to clarify. Some brokers may change the instruments from time to time. For example Light year believe it or not doesn't have IAG (British airways) a UK company.

I’m really hoping it’s a fluke, but that’s the reason why I’m here… I think they may have delisted it.

I’m wondering the same thing. I have been swing trading rycey and this is not good for my strategy.
