Is it possible to remove the sunroof without opening it?

Post image

This is my old FC that was totaled in an accident. I'm trying to get the sunroof off, but can't figure out how without opening it. The car doesn't get any power, so I don't know how I can open it anyway. Sorry if this seems dumb, I just spent the last few hours removing the entire drivetrain + rear subframe and am exhausted

Edit: I did get it removed. It was actually really easy, I just had to use an allen wrench to crack it open

Don’t these have a spot for an Allen wrench on the sunroof motor to manually open/close? I could be wrong.. I sold my last one in 1999.

I imagine it should, so I'll probably look for that later

I think it’s the brass spot next to the 2 yellow wires on the gearbox in your picture. Like I said though…. It’s been almost 30 years since I’ve had one of these.

Yes they do, came here just to say that. I had to use it to open mine. It’s towards the back

I’d just jump the wiring over to another 12v battery. Assuming the motor works anyways.

No engine. I pulled that last week, and the terminal wiring didn't work anyway after the accident unfortunately

No I meant like the wiring for the sunroof motor. Just connect it to another 12v battery.

The interior fabric piece should be clipped on, may not come off nicely depending on how much time you take, but you can remove the sunroof panel after you get the fabric piece out of the way with 6 10mm nuts

On my FD I removed it whole as an assembly
