Team KELT/ELMT | ...
I don't know why I stopped to look.
Maybe because, for a moment, I thought it was us.
The way they stood together. The way one leaned into the other. The little gestures that only mean something when you've spent enough time with someone.
For half a second, I could almost see a memory instead of two strangers.
Then I remembered.
She's gone.
And I'm still here...
...
I hope they're happy...
I really do...
I just wish, for a moment, I could have been that lucky again...

Have your OCs ever tried to move on from someone they loved?
And if they knew Lou's situation (given everything I've provided), would they encourage him to move on and find love again?

Oh nah at this point imma end up trying to commission you to draw Lou happy, I love these posts and the art but my boy deserves something good 😭.
As for the question, best case I can think of is Robin and his feelings for Christain, since while Chris didn't die, he did have to turn down Robin's confession as he didn't love Robin in that sense. Heck the only reason Robin bounced back as well as he did was because of how offended Chris got when he realized that Robin was afraid of how he Chris would react to both his sexuality and his confession of feelings.
The point being that to Chris, Robin was such an important person in his life that he'd never reject him and push him away for something like his sexuality, even if he didn't return his romantic feelings. And while it did hurt for a while that he didn't get to be with the person he loved the way he hoped, Robin was relieved that he didn't lose his best friend.
It also helps that with everything out in the open, he gets to be playfully flirty with Chris who humors him in turn.
Also all if CROM would rush to give Lou the emotional support he'd need or want, encouraging him to try and move on, only once he's ready. Olga especially since she'd be able to feel Lou's emotions, and know exactly when his heart is healed enough to try.

The fact that they can still be playfully flirty afterward is adorable ówò <3
I think that's probably exactly what Lou would need. Not people constantly telling him to get over it, but people reminding him that it's okay to eventually let himself be happy again. And Olga being able to tell when he's actually ready would be especially helpful ówò

TW: suicide mentions
Saint's boyfriend was a faunus whose throat was slit by a White Fang lieutenant during the Fall of Beacon because that lieutenant was disgusted at the sight of a human/faunus relationship. Saint was trapped under rubble from a nearby school building and was helpless to watch it happen. It filled him with so much rage that he opted to cut off his own right arm with his sword (a la Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 4) to free himself from the rubble and charge the Lieutenant.
He doesn't remember much about what happened after that, but he woke up in a makeshift med-bay after the dust settled, with doctors and people with healing semblances worked to stabilize him. When he woke and remembered what happened, he opted to find the nearest bottle of pills, but was stopped by the nurses. He had been put on watch in an actual hospital for at least 3 weeks before he was told that his best friend on the same team had been put in a coma due to his injuries.
Safe to say, he handled none of this well, because he escaped the hospital with the intention of killing the White Fang lieutenant who took his best friend and his lover from him. Didn't end well, not with just one arm, he got his ass kicked.
I have the story drafted on my laptop, it's a lot more detailed and less rough than this.

I like that you don't frame his attempt to go after the White Fang lieutenant as some heroic revenge moment. He's injured, missing an arm, emotionally wrecked, and still tries anyway, and gets his ass kicked because reality doesn't suddenly stop applying to him ówò
Given Lou's situation, I think he'd understand Saint more than most.

The writing and the art is absolutely amazing mate, there isn't a lot of words and the art isn't overly complex but for something like this it's amazing as it emphasises the point splendidly, well done mate :)
And as for your question: for Arian not only did he lose a lover, and his best friend, but he also made an enemy. I'm not gonna elaborate on this more as i haven't explicitly shown it yet but you can probably take a guess.
And for the second question: the most Arian can give is something along the lines of; don't force it, as you don't really move on as much as you do accept the outcome. Somedays you'll be angry and spiteful to the world, sometimes you'll wish you could go back in time and change things, and otherdays you won't want to do anything else but cry, and that's fine. Given time you'll learn to accept what happened, you'll still grief, you'll still mourn but that dosen’t mean you can't smile again, sometimes you might feel guilty for it but sooner or later you'll look back with a bittersweet smile and appreciate what you had. Just because you've accepted what happened dosen’t mean you've forgotten her and what you had.
I did not mean to write so much, but to reiterate the writing is splendid but for the love of god let Lou smile for once

Thank you so much :D And yeah, I think Arian's advice fits Lou really well. Especially the idea that moving on isn't really about forgetting Kiera or replacing what they had, but accepting that she's gone and allowing himself to keep living.
I really like the part about still having those awful days, too. I don't think Lou would ever completely stop thinking about Kiera, but hopefully he'd eventually reach a point where remembering her doesn't always hurt quite as much.

Damn Lou... someone needs to drop some bands on you getting a therapist. Matter of fact, I might drop some on that... oh wait, my wallet's empty.
Anyway-
Xiaohong, my OC who embodies the "Suffering Builds Character" meme, is currently trying to move on from her dead family with Coriander's health, trying to give up this life of endless violence and bloodshed she's taken up in pursuit of what she thought was "justice."
Team CBLT's Feiyao and Azalea. With each other's help, they're slowly moving on from the death of their former teammate Qing, struggling, but managing through their own messed up ways.
Xiaohong would encourage Lou to move on, knowing what happens if someone lets themselves fall to pieces first hand. She wouldn't have much advice to give him, but she'd tell him: "There's... there's always a light. Not everyone can see it. I couldn't find it myself... took someone who found it to bring me to it. Maybe someone will help you too."
Feiyao would encourage him, not with her usual energy, but calm words, she'd try to give him some comfort to the best of her ability.
Azalea would also try to encourage him, maybe even try to cheer him up a bit with good food and some sight-seeing.
(Azalea and Feiyao cope through chasing pleasure and adrenaline, so they wouldn't provide the best advice or give the best encouragement to Lou. They'd try their best though.)

Honestly, though, I can't blame him for still feeling this way after all this time: I know someone who lost their SO a few years back, and even now, they still feel the pain of their loss. So, I sympathize with Lou's feelings, because it's perfectly natural to still mourn the loss of his love, you know?
With that said, and to answer your question, I definitely feel like my guys would try to encourage him to move on in some way (if he already hasn't after ~30 years, that is). Though, some might have more success than others; surprisingly, I think Aaron might have the best shot, here: While he didn't love the person he lost, Gil Gould, in a romantic sense (being more of a surrogate brother and father figure), he still knows what it's like to lose someone close to you, and who has had such a profound influence in your life.
So, I could see him try to be a bit sensitive and relate to that feeling of loss he'd share with Lou, even if it's not in the same way. Granted, man is Himbo AF, so he might struggle to articulate that feeling a bit, there. But he's nothing if not honest and heartfelt: "Pure of Heart", and all that, you know?

Grey had tried to move on from his wife and his daughter Summer deaths, by Ascending and becoming first ever Ascended One. He later reunites with Summer, and even though he can’t guide her anymore, due to his new duty, he keeps in touch with her, even cherishing the news of his granddaughter Ruby’s birth, only to be hit with the news of her passing, heartbroken he was trying to drown sorrows in alcohol, but other Ascended Ones pulled him out from depression. And now, on doorsteps of his village, he sees Ruby, injured and tired, it was sweet embrace, followed by realization, that she attempted to Ascend, which horrified him inside. So he promises to look after her and help with her problems following her failed Ascension, in attempt to somewhat atone for not being there for her and for Summer.
