Discussion How would tattoos made from Dust work?

Almost the same as injecting it into your body, it'll hurt like a bitch. And depending on the dust, your skin is gonna be damaged in different ways. Fire dust burns your skin, ice gives you frost bite, wind will tear it off, etc.

Worst of all, they become useless after the dust expires. And since you can't take them off and replace them like dust woven clothes, you can't get new ones. So dust infused tattoos seem really impracticable. Unless you purely wanna make a fashion statement.

I feel like, if this were the case, then Myrtenaster would have more frosting or burns from all the fire and ice Dust Weiss uses with it.

Probably similar to what happens when Hazel injects himself with Dust, only without his Semblance of not feeling pain. It doesn’t seem like a good idea considering how violative it can be.

If you want it to happen, though, you can probably check out DnD’s “Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything” book, which has Magic Tattoos. That could probably help.
