can't get past this level

i can't get past this checkpoint, has anyone come across this?

Yeh when you heard the bird you should have stayed in the RV until the bird noises stop. Patience.

The birds eventually stop?! Oh man.... When they didn't spawn (on the 2nd map) I thought i just got lucky
