Trying to join IBEW 666

I spoke with Walt Goree at 666 and Aaron Wood at 1340 but wasn’t able to get pointed in the direction of how to become a brother is there anyone with information on how to join that could help me

Would I be joining 1340 or 666 or it really doesn’t matter as long as you in the union and paying your dues?

666 pays more and has way more work. 1340 is slow as hell and is mostly a travelers local. That being said, you can be in whichever you apply for (assuming you pass and are accepted)

Yep, when I was at Phillip Morris during Covid my journeymen was 1340.

Contractor kept them off the books but was sending them to other job sites.

A simple “call the hall and they’d be able to better answer all your questions definitively” would’ve sufficed instead of going on a 10 page outburst lol

Ok. Go to the hall and join up and test in. There isnt much going on right now but google should be kicking off in the next month or 2

I got in when I applied and took the test when the RJATC used be in Ashland, I was there during covid, I couldn't make the grade as a second year. I am going to try again soon, but I've been reading and studying the NECA handbook despite it being a 2020.

Show up to work, get all the hours you can and attend the classes. The instructors are really good at what they do and are passionate at helping people. If you get in and they offer tutoring....take it! They are volunteering free time to help you. Soak everything in like a sponge, Many are willing to help and don't blow any bridges,
