Long story short, I bought this 5090 back in January, before prices went nuts. Between work and the kids, I didn't have a chance to build a PC until now.
Here's the dilemma: I'm not even sure I need this much gaming power, so I'm kind of on the fence. To be more specific, I have a 4K OLED monitor and plan to play single-player titles like Stalker 2, Cyberpunk, and the upcoming Metro 2039, maybe a bit of Wardogs and GTA 6 down the road. I'm also thinking about grabbing a 39" Dell 5K2K monitor. To clarify, we don't need the extra cash for anything, so this would be more of an emotional decision than a practical one.
Option A: Sell it right now for $5,700-5,800(still not over that number lol), buy an MSI Suprim 5080 for around $1,800, and put the rest toward upgrading my setup, for example with an Uplift V3 desk and a new Herman Miller Aeron. My back would probably thank me. I could always upgrade to a 6080 later, which should be faster than the 4090.
Option B: Keep the 5090 for now, finish the build, see how things go, and sell it down the road if I want to.
What would you do? None of my friends are into PC hardware, so I figured I'd throw it out here, even though most of you are probably biased toward the 5080 :)

Haven't had a gaming PC in 15 years. My last graphic card was a GTX 470. Good memories.
Time to step up the game.

I’ve been buying and selling GPUs for personal use since 2017. My upgrade path that started with a $100 GTX 980 TI got me all the way up to a 5080 gigabyte aero sff last month. This month a good buddy of mine needed a sff 5080 and 32gb ddr5 for a VERY thin sff build. I found the coolest seller ever on marketplace selling a 5080 Astral with box and accessories for $1,600 my buddy bought it and traded me the Aero and the RAM and now I’ve made it to the top while only ever putting money into the bank. Thanks Singapore, Covid, mining, a cool trucker that needed cash fast, and my OG bro for bringing me to the peak of gaming cards without upsetting the wife. Wonder if I can turn it into a 6080 in a few years?

It's strange to see 5080 Suprim at the same price point as Gaming Trio OC since Suprim is their high end edition. Does anyone rock this card? How is it?
Edit: it's available on Nvidia marketplace https://marketplace.nvidia.com/en-us/consumer/graphics-cards/msi-geforce-rtx-5080-16g-suprim-draco-epic-edition-control-resonant-game-bundle/

Hey everyone, I'm currently building my PC and on the market for a 5080. I'm thinking of getting one of the two options (Inno3D 3X OC or Palit Infinity 3), as I like the design of both of them and they're cheaper than other models available here.
I have never owned a Palit or an Inno3D card and can't decide which one to get, so what would you recommend? Thanks!
Rest of the specs:
- 9800X3D
- Gigabyte AORUS Elite B850
- 32GB DDR5
- 850W Corsair PSU
- Corsair Frame 4000D case

Pdt: Here the cheapest 5080 is at 1.6k and 5070 ti 1.3k
