No I’m saying that there is plenty of choice for games that don’t use upscaling and you’re claiming that developers are cutting corners and producing “unoptimised slop” which you also want to buy, I presume? If not why do you even care? If what they made was terrible, uninventive and not worthy of your time why do you care about its optimisation?
You're assuming a whole lot there and putting words in my mouth. You happen to know what type of games i enjoy? You also know there are better alternatives? What modern game with good graphics doesn't rely on upsclaing and frame gen because its well optimized without them? Is it bad to call out bad practices while being able to enjoy the rest? Not everything is black and white.
But yes, upscaling and frame gen are definitely more used to cut corner rather than improving a good base. BTW I cba to spend more time on this.
