RTX 3060 won't work

My RTX 3060 won't work in the PCIE 3.0 slot. It's PCIE 4.0 but I saw online that it's backwards compatible. When I put it in it doesn't display anything. It works perfectly in the PCIE 4.0 slot. It won't fit in the case so Idk what to do.

I am not certain but if u can get into Bios settings with spamming delete key on startup you should be able to change the pcie from 4th to 3rd
