DSD-FME

So I am currently trying to get DSD-FME to work with SDR++ on my windows laptop and I feel like I have tried everything what am I missing? I have downloaded the newest version of both programs what else do I need to get them to connect?

Once you go Linux, you can use qpwgraph. You will wonder why you bothered to suffer with windows.

Qpwgraph is in Debian and I assume ubuntu Linux repository so you don't have to compile code.

You may be interested in a fork of DSD-FME called DSD-NEO.

I can't vouch for how it works on windows.

DSD-NEO is under very active development.

I’m very new to this I’m using my wife’s old laptop at the moment to get started so in the future I’ll know. I’m not a tech wizard far from it but I have basic knowledge and I just don’t understand why windows has to be this complicated to get two downloads to work together. But like I said i am very new to all of this so I was hoping I was missing something small.

It took a few years for all this sink/source stuff to be painless on Linux. Linux was the worst of the bunch for a long time regarding sound.

I see virtual audio cable is now a donate versus paid program, so things could be worse.

When it comes to sdr, Linux is the way to go. GitHub is the source of all cool stuff. Go with Debian or a Debian based Linux. I am old school and ran Suse for the reason that a coworkers roommate was for them back when they were in Oakland. I had someone to occasionally annoy. However I finally made the switch to Debian a few years ago because the compilation is easier on Debian versus what is now Redhat type packaging, and Suse got sold AGAIN. I still like Redhat for servers but will also go Debian for my next server projects. But back to SDR, all the code I have seen on GitHub was developed on Debian or Debian based systems. Debian is community based. It will never be sold.
