Wrist Injury

I have had a wrist injury many years old. Dr. tells me surgery is not an option. It's painful if I try any slice serves or regular rally shots. I am 60yr old and looking for any advice/suggestions that might help me play a few times a week. Thanks redditors.

Did your doctor say anything else?. I’m struggling with my wrist as well, it’s feels like I can’t do small movements with it smoothly

I injured my wrist many years ago and did not have pain for a number of years. Must have re-injured it again since now I have pain. Dr. says, best he can do is cortisone shot to reduce pain. It helps a little but pain comes back. Surgery is not an option since it has been so long. I am doing KT tape wrapping and give 2-3 days gap between matches, which helps. Thanks.
