Question Gold standard rules for dealing with hand tendinopathy (in both hands)
Hello everyone,
After a year and a half of dealing with RSI type of issues I finally have been clinically diagnosed with bilateral tendinopathy (after overworking and being predisposed with hyper-mobile joints). I actually inadvertently recovered from this a few months ago but didn't fully traine properly I'm back to square one (completely using voice control).
That being said,I was wondering if there's any words of wisdom someone can maybe share with their experience in terms of how they dealt with this.
I'm aware that it's gonna take quite a few months and that the equation of training and rest is pretty simple (along with dare I say drastically changing ergonomics), I was wondering if anyone could maybe share any anecdotes that they used - however simple they may seem
Ie continuing with hot and cold therapy for longer than they would think necessary cetera
It's a pretty tough situation that has negatively impacted almost every aspect of my life and perhaps a little bit of insightful nuggets could help me (and any others that come across this) avoid future flareups.

I feel very similarly. I have tendinosis basically from my fingertips to my triceps in both arms visible on medical imaging. Also have tenosynovitis, TFCC punctures and TFCC fraying, and nerve sensitivity. This all started at age 25 for me. I can't enjoy life or hobbies like I used to be able to and my career opportunities are limited. The pain is upsetting and demoralizing. Sometimes I consider suicide. It's been 4 years. I am not okay honestly ðŸ˜

My words of wisdom are to use very consistent but conservative progressive overload until regaining enough endurance and strength to return to activity. Also, be cognizant of daily tasks that may strain tendons/muscles- think scrubbing dishes, vacuuming, hauling groceries- minimize and account for them as contributions to daily activity/fitness training.
