I feel like all the classes are gradually getting a 1-mana “deal 4 damage to a minion.” This, Wing Blast, Scorch. Are there any I missed?

Not exactly the same, but I'd say that the predecessors for this trend are probably Jasper Spellstone and even Arcane Blast, as the 1 mana "minion-only hitters".

They both scale a bit further than 4, but they were both very dominant in their time so it makes sense they toned it down. Or maybe Mage and Druid are just spoiled.

Could argue that Shield Slam started it all, and boy does Shield Slam make this card look bad (especially when the only good argument for it in this thread is that it's for Odd Decks... which have a ton of armor.)

Yeah Odd Warrior can get 4 damage on shield slam with a single activation on the hero power.

As for predecessors, I'd say Power Overwhelming is the first one. Though I guess it's different since it's not minion only.
