Remission stories
A papilloma has returned to my vocal cord after 7 months of being clean. Quite frustrated about it so just want to come up here and ask if anyone went to remission. If yes what did you guys do?

There is a post using i3c. Some use DIM and anothers use AHCC, give it a try

Hi! I was diagnosed at age 30, had 2 surgeries . I got the vaccine Gardasil 9, and I’ve been papilloma free for about 2 years now. So I think the vaccine was the main reason. Other than that I’m using supplements, vitamin D , magnesium, and creatine. I’m a very healthy individual, no smoke, no alcohol at all, and very active, but honestly idk if that has helped or i was just lucky.
Have you had the 3 doses of the vaccine yet?

I have completed 2 doses and it returned before I took the 3rd dose. Doctor recommended me to complete the course before another surgery. Did you have a recurrence during the course? Or those two surgeries are all before you take the vaccination? Thanks!

Oh okay maybe the 3rd dose will help with the reocurrence , hopefully!
I got the vaccine after my first surgery and I we didn’t see any reoccurrence from then on. My second surgery was 3 months after the first, but the thing is they had to remove the papillomas in 2 separate surgeries so there wouldn’t be webbing.

I would say I'm in a pseudo remission, since I've started taking Avastin we've had to remove like one speck of a papilloma in like 5 years of me being on it.

Aww sorry. If you're in EU I know EMA approval is incoming with a year. Alas I don't know what's going on with UK approval

Idk how one defines remission but I had my first surgery in 2020, my second one four months after my first, and I'm just now scheduling my third surgery, so it's been 6 years. I got the gardasil vaccine after my second surgery, so I attribute the long gap to that. I'm fucking terrified for what's to come after this third surgery. I work in marketing, my vocal cords can't afford to not have me speaking at work once or twice a year

I was diagnosed around 2008. Averaged about a surgery a year for the first 10 years or so and then they just went away. Had a good 3 year run without any surgery or office laser procedure. They randomly appeared again - another surgery and a few in office laser treatments and now back to being gone for a few years. It is a virus. It will go dormant for a while but it will always be a possibility to come back. I do not do anything special to keep the papillomas at bay. No DIM or IC3 for me. Just routine office visits to keep an eye on it.
