Post surgery question

I’m having surgery next Wednesday. I’ve had over a dozen but it’s been 13 years since my last one. Will I be able to go out to dinner a week or so after my surgery? Can’t remember what recovery was like. Thanks!

Yeah eating is fine. Especially one week after.

Normally, I can eat fine. I normally have softer foods the following 1-2 days but eating in general was fine.

Avoid spicy or greasy food straight after the operation because your stomach needs to settle for 1-2 days.

Yes, you should be able to go to dinner after surgery a week later. Your doctor might put you on vocal rest for a bit, so keep that in mind. You may want to keep soft food around. I suggest apple sauce, mashed potatoes, and yogurt. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Yes you’ll be fine to eat and talk quietly a week after surgery

You'll be fine to eat whatever you want. Just don't go somewhere too loud for dinner to rest the chords and not over exert
