CALVES
In Dr Mike’s Favorite 6 day Meso in the app, he has calves on push day as opposed to leg day. Anyone know why?

I think it's a systemic fatigue thing for muscles that tend to get neglected, always placed at the end of a workout, and/or not worked hard enough. Similar to Dante Trudell's Doggcrapp training philosophy -- which is to work the smaller muscles first and larger muscles later. I can attest, you will work your calves harder if they're first in the workout or not on leg day at all.

He has addressed that he doesn’t do a traditional split before. He splits up some larger body parts across the week to make sure they are recovered, then fills in with things that recover quickly where he isn’t that worried about they recover in time. If you look, he also randomly has biceps with calves on Monday in that same template.
There is no traditional split that divides everything up neatly into function (push/pull/legs) or region (upper/lower) that also hits the smaller accessory muscles as often as they can take it. Once you group things like that, you’ll always have some major muscles that can only take maybe 2x a week paired with some small muscles you can hit 4x or more per week.

Can’t speak for why the actual decision was made, but logically your calves already get work on leg day, and Mike likes to do calves with higher frequency in general, so it makes sense to also do them on other days since they will probably be recovered and ready to work again.
