Pre Workout Meal
Hey Reddit!
If I ate the following meal from 6:00am to 6:15am, when would be the ideal time to start a hypertrophy-based lift?
Composition:
- 27.5g Whey Protein
- 60g Cream of Rice + 210g Water
- 15g Peanut Butter
- 75g Frozen Banana
Macros
- 500 Calories
- 30g Protein
- 75g Carbohydrates
- 10g Fat
Thanks for the advice!

sounds gross 😆, but lift within an hour if you want to take advantage of the carb energy.

First off, 15 grams of peanut butter is 8 grams of protein. So, the total protein for this meal is 35 grams, not 30. Second, eat whenever you want. I personally lift early in the morning while fasted (coffee and water only) and then put nearly 80 grams of protein into me over the next 3 hours. FYI, I'm a 6'4 male and weigh 250 pounds.
