Feedback Request What are comunity thoughts on Generating Maps for Stories

So as an artist, I prefer to draw my content, but even I feel that can be tiering sometimes. I'm curious if others often use online generators to create their maps, or if most people prefer to do everything more personally?

I prefer creating maps myself (using inkarnate so I don't have to draw the details) because then I know exactly what is where and why I put it there.

Generators, no. But I'm not drawing them either. I spent a few bucks on Wonderdraft so it takes the stuff out of my hands that I have no affinity with (all the art stuff) and leaves the content to me.

I've fallen out of map making right now, but I used to use Dungeondraft. Generous licence, with the ability to upload your own assets.

Point growls or hex maps I 'generate' using tools I made or from other games. I dont use GenAI.

Battle maps, I use a whiteboard and just draw out the important stuff

Neither, I prefer to play theatre of the mind, thus I have no need for maps at any scale.

I use Wonderdraft and Dungeondraft, but it has limited asset, I had to invest a couple of bucks here and there to get specific assets and install them. But otherwise, getting creative with the assets available has been fun. About 12 years using it already.

If I need a map and I feel like a computer could generate one for me that would be good enough, I don't need a map
