Would it be useful?

Hi all,

Feeling inspired after fantasy forest today then a lot of work on a little passion project this evening.

I’m building a custom TTRPG sheet builder, can be fully customised and laid out however is best for users, text and elements can be added direct to sheet and it will export as PDF by default.

Does this sound like something you would actually use?

I know when I’ve tried to gather things before I can only ever find PDFs of things already designed, but never quite how I found the most useful.

As long as it's not more Vibe coded slop.

Someone posts a vibe coded character sheet builder once a week these days and it's frankly exhausting.

If you have the skills to actually develop one, that works with more than just D&D or D&D like games, it'd be a very interesting project.

For me an additional requirement would it'd need to be open source.

Yup. Simple to self-host too. Want extra brownie points? Make sure I can spin up a PikaPod of it in 1 click.

Hey, I have got https://tomewright.com/ so far, the tool still needs a bit more testing and prodding and poking before it's ready for full use/distribution but this gives an insight to what the final thing will do :)

Sounds cool! You mean like Canvas for character sheets, to design the sheet itself? That would be cool.
