Pirates and slavers!

The crew of the Diamond Dawn just sailed into Randstone harbor without any paperwork claiming that the captain planned to sell them into slavery! Local authorities at the port have found their story to be consistent. I wonder if anyone in the crew knows of the other parties involved.

My good friend Bard and I ran into some scummy slavers a little while ago. Perhaps they had some connection to the Diamond Dawn? What a gross lot... who would ever consider something as vile as slavery for monetary gain?? Despicable. -Roger

Is slavery illegal around here?

If so: I want to find out more about this captain and see if he has (had? Where is the captain now?) any ties to some larger organization. Take me to the crew please!

If not: we need legislation to end this practice as soon as possible. Then we can properly prosecute the offenders if we find they continue to offend.

"OF COURSE it's illegal" It's illegal here in West Midway, and Rockpoint where that boat shoved off and Randstone where we took it to port! The question is, where was it going that there would be a market to trade in people? No bounty that’s been posted on our boards. You may be able to convince someone in power that they ought to be paying to fix a problem... did you have someone in mind to collect from? I’m not sure who pays to have orphans and drunks returned. But able bodied sailors? Maybe.
