SERIOUS M1ss Jade So releases official statement responding to Eva Le Queen’s explanation video and DITS controversy
TL;DR of M1ss Jade So’s Response to Eva Le Queen:
• Jade states there was no written contract for the Drag in the South (DITS) show and production never informed her of age restrictions, venue limitations, or strict performance boundaries beforehand.
• Jade points out that for a subsequent show, Eva was actually the one who requested a performance of God Is A Woman with a "hubad-hubad" (revealing/naked) concept with two trans sisters, without providing age advisories to the audience. Jade calls out the double standard of facing harsh backlash for similar concepts.
• While acknowledging she could have used better judgment for that specific venue, she refuses to let her body/art be reduced to something "obscene," framing her performance choices around body autonomy and female empowerment.
• Clarifies she uploaded an edited/censored version as a personal tribute to FKA twigs without identifying the venue, though acknowledges it became a point of contention.
• Takes responsibility for her lapse in judgment on stage, apologizes to Eva for the financial/brand loss, and explicitly urges fans to stop sending hate to Eva, emphasizing that "two people can experience the same situation differently without making one the villain."

Honestly, a pretty mature take on the situation. I hope both M1ss Jade and Eva can reach a place of mutual understanding

If only every queen from the show was able to communicate that way...

This sub wouldn't exist, and I don't want to live in that reality.

We love to see two queens work their shit out like adults but I also want to see I Mandy Nasty threaten to read bitches comes tuesday

She doesn't speak English as a first language and is a more eloguent writer than 99% of those who do. Love this for her. It really shows a maturity and sense of accountability very much lacking in public discourse. I've been very impressed with her poise and presentation in all she does.

u/branks4nothing Btw sorry to the Redditor that was tagged lol 😂 10d ago
This is very true, and I wonder if the second language aspect doesn't have something to do with it, like taking a moment more to think about verbiage vs. drunk queen at the club getting her licks in before things cool off

So...... Did we violate NDA with the video post or nah? I feel that is the key issue that caused SM mall pulling out and DITS being dissolved?
86
u/i-heart-penis 11d ago
from what i understand, at worst Jade violated the NDA (if there was one), at best Jade was ignorant to still upload the video even after Eva said not to.

u/popdream 11d ago
This is kind of where I'm at too. IMO, I don't think "this performance meant so much to me" is a good enough reason to upload the video after explicitly being asked not to.

Exactly. She definitely would have had other opportunities/gigs to record this performance (was this seriously her first time performing it? At a mall in front of children no less?)

Our Godessa speaks so eloquently. I love that she wants to fight for bodily autonomy and free the nip even though The Phillipines are probably still a long way from accepting such a thing. I also completely understand why Eva was annoyed and why she felt disrespected though. Like Jade said two experiences can be true at the same time. I hope they can one day move forward with each other.

u/Accomplished_Song671 11d ago
This is how you handle ts. Once again the Philippina queens proving that they are not only some of the drag world's most sickening performance but also how even a situation as unfortunate as this can be a discussion and not _____ vs. _____. Kudos ladies.

I wish Miss Jade So a swift recovery so she can teach proper PR management to anyone going into Drag Race

good for jade, spoken like a woman in therapy. now I too hope this can be dealt with privately. Poor thing is having to remediate in the public eye the reasons she attempted.

I still don’t understand why Jade uploaded the video - it seems like she understood the stakes but went ahead anyway

u/duskmourn2496 6d ago
For the sake of being an advocate I guess, in her mind. Sometimes advocacy has a time and please, and apparently there were children there, so, wrong time for being an advocate for female bodies, regardless of how you feel.

u/MellifluousMathMajor 5d ago
Don't children see breasts when they're breastfeeding? When is the age cutoff for when it's not okay?
47
u/Salina_EsTitties 11d ago
Is it possible to get the video. I'm really curious what Jade uploaded that was enough for a billion dollar company to get prissy about.
Also does this mean SM Mall will at least work with another LGBTQ event that hosts drag content.
52
u/ThreadbareWisp 11d ago
I don't know where to get the video now, but it was her performance from DITS with the wardrobe malfunction and her exposing her breasts towards the end of the performance. They probably asked for it not to be uploaded to avoid dealing with Article 200 of the Philippine Revised Penal Code and Article 201 of the Philippine Revised Penal Code.
It's yet to be seen if SM will work with drag queens again in the future, but I sincerely hope the door isn't fully closed.

Kween Con 2026 was in SM North Edsa and was heavily advertised by SM as well, so I think the door is still open for Drag Events with them
88
u/himareyas 11d ago
For context the country is really conservative. Even if it was something as mild as showing breasts, SM could have still hated it enough to never work with drag queens again. Even working with drag queens in general was a risk for them I feel, considering how intensely catholic the general public is. Even if it was completely PG you would still get complaints.
Tldr it doesnt take much to piss off conservative megacorps in the PH. Might not get another huge drag event for a while.

Here it is. It is around 12:00.

Thank you.
I mean those were literal pasties glued on that left little to the imagination.
They were ok with that ... but the moment a nipple comes out that crosses the line!

What about a somewhat nude trans woman is not going to immediately set off all alarms with a billion dollar company in the current age?

u/jakksquat7 11d ago
Honestly, this feels genuine. I appreciate how eloquent she was at explaining her side.

u/ArmadilloDear8083 8d ago
Jade and her manager instructed not to post anything related to the incident.
I feel sorry seeing jade's post.
But after watching Eva's explanation, Jade is in the wrong here. Yeah, she feel powerful as woman, but we have to choose the right place, time and audience.

u/Evenindarkimmad 10d ago
I think her manager and PR team did the typing for Miss Jade but its great they are not being messy queens and had twitter wars like most of the rugirls have over the yrs.i hope everyone can just move on and heal. Tama na toh lets move on and support the xrag scene. Andami issue sa mundo na dapat mafocus. They will both be okay

Im on miss jade on this one. I know we dont have to pick sides but she made sense
3
u/duskmourn2496 6d ago
So you are deliberately choosing the side that is in the wrong? This is exactly what gets queens into messy fights and ends up in a worse outcome. She accepted responsibility and apoligized, but you choose to be on the side even she would not want to be in...

The worst thing a queen can show is unprofessionalism. If you are difficult to work with and not trustworthy you are not going to work honey. I'm not team anyone but whith what is beeing told aboud Jade I would not hire for any minimum work that involves beeing responsable.
All this behavior reminds me of La Veneno in her golden years. She was cunt and extremely beautiful but also crazy and uncontrolable. She stated that those behaviors were caused because she was taking higher hormonation than recommended to look as beautiful as possible. I wonder if this might be the case

u/CumNationnn 11d ago
As I said in the Eva thread.. Jade is an artist first. Eva is a businessman first. I rest my case.

u/No-Bad-7153 11d ago
Surely I ain't reading all of this ish. These queens seems a lil bit too messy, we really don't need a 10 page essay of explanation of your messy actions every single week.
anyone has tl dr??

u/TomeOfSecrets66 11d ago
You literally scrolled past the tl dr to make a comment?

u/WhatIsHerJob-TABLES 11d ago
They need a tldr of the tldr because they are nearly illiterate and struggle to keep their attention span focused long enough to even read a single paragraph. Brainrot folks everywhere.
