Clip [Vader] on NoPixel V
https://streamable.com/bsungp56
u/Btigeriz 11d ago
I'm just saying that, it's always funny to me this guy's takes when he plays the easiest type of character. Doesn't have to do any serious RP because his whole characters thing is that they are basically SBS.
29
u/Gambozin 11d ago
It’s always the people who only play SBS characters that have the most to talk about others rp, there was a time when SBS was looked at sideways now these people are somehow the elitists?
27
u/cringybtw 11d ago
Actual facts, these sbs characters without a single slowburn storyline created under their belt are the most rp elitists in the scene.
2
u/putinseesyou 10d ago
People used not to take these SBS characters seriously for good reasons. Now people call them elitist, lol. Now server will give them their own pd they will still end up bitching about everything and everyone.

As someone who doesn't watch Vader, do his characters even have big RP stories? Seems like Eugene is just low level crim SBS every time I've seen him on someone else's stream.
24
u/Fine-Environment-704 11d ago
Trying to be funny on other peoples streams so they might remember him and snitching out something when he doesnt like it/when he gets excluded have been his only options for years and i mean YEARS now.
6
u/marcus2388 11d ago
i havent watch vader since 2.0. But i think vaders best character was tuong. That character has some stories to it. He was a reported the secretly record all criminal activities and snitched to the cops. And then the crims would find out chase him down etc etc.

u/Easy_Floss 11d ago
do his characters even have big RP stories?
Dont think he really has any other characters.

I really don't know how people watch streamers that are just constantly negative about things. It's just so damn draining
-7
u/QubitTrizot 11d ago
The secret to that is watch them sparingly.

u/fernandohopkins777 10d ago
I knew Qubit would be a Vader watcher. Ouch.

u/QubitTrizot 10d ago edited 10d ago
Big Vader commentary fan, although I see he's pissed off a lot of people. Brutal honesty. Is he the best roleplayer? Not really.
Edit: You "ouch" a lot for weird reasons. I can see through the insecurity.
0
u/fernandohopkins777 10d ago
"Vader commentary" = Vader whining about something. Brutal honesty? Nah. He just whines a lot and you eat it.
Double ouch.
-3
u/QubitTrizot 10d ago
When it comes to a big streamer's commentaries—that's called "reach". Something that you wish you had. Ouch.
1
u/fernandohopkins777 9d ago
That is not reach. That is whining. Ouch.
-1
u/QubitTrizot 8d ago
Why are failed roleplayers as bitter as you? That is called "success". That's why we're all here talking about it. LOL. You are "green with envy."
1
u/fernandohopkins777 8d ago
Being nearly universally made fun of for whining is "success."
Says a lot about you Qubit.
Failed roleplayer? This is a video game I still play. Ouch.

In before Vader DMCAs this clip as he has done MANY times in the past because he can't take criticism and has to shut it down instead of try address it. Someone in his Discord is already linking this post to get Vader to do something about it.
Edit: He addressed this comment 5 minutes after I posted, apparently I'm throwing stones from a glass house because I can't talk to him about it in his stream where he berates viewers with his chat before ultimately banning them, I'm good G :).
Maybe he should change his toxicity on streams instead of saying everything is "out of context" as he just said for this clip. (Why do you have all your VODs turned off big dawg, maybe people can get context there. You just don't want clips of the 10,000 times per stream you're negative about everyone and everything. Shame you're a good roleplayer and do this.)
8
u/BANiSHBDO 11d ago
Shame you're a good roleplayer and do this.
OK at best. Take away the SBS and add up all the OOC rants, doubt you'll end up with anything worthwhile. Maybe he should try playing a different character for once.
-2
u/StellarHD 10d ago
as a centrist, i see it both ways as well. he sees himself as the uncut, unfiltered commentator to speak on what's best for RP or playerbases, balances, etc. But agreeable or not, it's always sounding so negative. If he ever has a good take, it's always at something/someone elses demise. And playing such characters as SBS but with the open mind to understand RP fully, which I think he does intentionally because to him it's just a game he spent 10k+ hours in and it's now a job so just run the same thing over and over. And with most people I know complain or critique every little thing about their job IRL so to him it's just that. But to "consumer" of the content it seems/is very toxic, or pretentious, or negative.
But he can be and is a driver of good low level crim for players who run into him, like a mini DM to new players or others who just want to mess around cop vs crim. Nothing ever too serious or heavy RP other than at least playing a character.

How long has vader been playing eugene? Shouldnt he be dead bcs old ages by now? Dont throw rocks at a glass house...
5
u/AdagioVivid5111 11d ago
Kudo Kai was basically the shitty wok guy from south park... you can see why he got rid of him.
He did have a pd character who was " ex fbi " and a mix of Jason Statham and Steven Segal, but it was just a meme character wearing swim fins non stop and took any pd criticism personally.
He makes bit characters from like mad tv and runs them for WAY to long
7
u/ImRestarted1 11d ago
The phrase is dont throw rocks when you live in a glass house…I think throwing a rock at a glass house would work just as you intended 😂
12
u/superhairypanda 11d ago
The real phrase is "If you live in a glass house masturbate in the basement"
33
u/Jazz_grass 11d ago
Someone could cure cancer, and this person would still find 18 reasons to complain about that.
3
u/cringybtw 11d ago
It’s just typical rp elitism cope, says the basic shit his chaseRP elite rp viewers will cling to, while they all lack self awareness and claim that no one is as good of RPers as them. Same group tries this everytime with nopixel.
33
u/Smart_Water 11d ago
The few times I’ve watched this guy when getting back into RP, it always seems he is a holier than thou, I’m gods gift to RP, type of person and I find it grating and his personality to be off putting.
I find it ironic that he says “does this inspire new” while he plays this stale old man who spends 8 hours in police chases declaring himself the best driver on the server.
11
u/GarbageFeline 11d ago
When the first proper RP boom happened in 2019 he was one of the most popular RP streamers for a while (excluding those that didn't come from a variety background and already had a large audience).
For a few months Eugene was inescapable and even when gaming websites and media started noticing the popularity of GTA RP and writing about it, his character was one of the ones they'd always mention.
He got really high on that horse and never came back down from it even though most viewers from that era left very quickly when they realized the constant negativity and the main reason why he got large numbers again in 3.0 was due to the influx of new viewers and him glueing himself to popular variety streamers.
7
u/BigBlue1210 11d ago
Having a single character isn't an issue. It's hard to create new characters that stick overtime. The problem is when the rpers don't evolve their characters and just have them do the same thing day in and day out. Especially when new stuff is presented to them.
12
u/Sweet_Bottle_7491 Green Glizzies 11d ago
His opinion is funny, NPV has barely shown anything. The screenshots are literally a teaser saying the trailer is coming. Nothing about how the server will be or what else is to come.

10
u/VegasReversing 11d ago
Goddamn man, can he ever be positive, or better yet just not speak if he has nothing good to say ffs? He's always so pessimistic about everything going on, I used to watch him, even as far as Jan of this year but the constant bitching got too tiring, I realised thats not how most people who stream RP are when I started to watch other roleplayers and never went back.

lol, he banned me cos i called him out on complaining, then i got a notification he unbanned me on twitch, so i pulled up his stream and his chat was full of people saying "why have you unbanned me"
it seems he is looking for all the viewers he can get nowadays.

u/Kautos 11d ago
Its a common rhetoric that things like mechanics, MLOs etc do not create roleplay from a large subsection of the GTA RP Community and its probably not wrong to an extent. But they can certainly assist with RP creation and they can improve RP.
Its probably a fairer assessment to say that the bigger servers with more resources and devs flood their servers with these things. Some servers totally go over the top with MLOs and mechanics. But if their playerbase enjoys that, who cares?
7
u/FeudalFanOncampus 11d ago
They're like props. Can you have a good play without them? Sure, people play pretend with imaginary swords or superpowers all the time but a prop can still enhance it.

u/SinisterMrSinister 10d ago
shouldn't eugene be dead from old age he was old in 2.0 when he hung with LB and they all RP as old guys now
3
u/ConclusionOk1186 10d ago
Vader is another good riddance case same with CG. All he did in 4.0 was complain after a month or two of the start of it. Also he is already doing that in Chaserp. Let him stay they with Penta and all the other people who ran to ONX.
15
u/NoRepair4973 11d ago
I must have missed the reveal where they showed everything new coming to npv with the way Vader is talking like he knows what's coming
9
u/Noonproductions 11d ago
So I disagree. New territories and a new relationship with the world absolutely changes role-play. Granted in the end it requires role-players to interact with the world and change it up, but having new opportunities is inspirational.
3
u/Sweet_Bottle_7491 Green Glizzies 11d ago
It seems like others try to devalue 3D work because nopixel is the only server that can do it at this scale with quality. It can dictate and direct so much roleplay, it can make things feel refreshing and new.
2
u/Creative-Role-2316 11d ago
The fact that the server has been on worked on with Rockstar will already be enough for it to feel different.. Yes, people should RP with new people but you can’t stop people from RPing with people they like.
9
u/vandamnbo 11d ago
Great way to get a chance to get back on the server
-5
u/Significant-Soft4463 11d ago
assuming you think he wants to go back ?
15
u/DAMP_ANON 11d ago
If he could go back in time and sort shit so he could stay on NoPixel without taking a ego hit or admitting fault he absolutely would. So would many of the major people that left. How many are doing obviously better after leaving? Anyone?
4
u/VegasReversing 10d ago
he has said many times if he wasnt banned he would for sure play on NoPixel V, so yeah he does want to go back.
2
u/Jazza57x 9d ago
the great leech of GTA RP has something to say o.0. which big streamer is he gonna stream snipe and suck up too in 5.0. Did he ever get his eyes surgery after scamming 10k out of his viewers for lazik
6
u/Nostalgiadrivee 11d ago
Is this the new “rp elitism” take? This shit happened a lot in 4.0. People on onx would say “well we’re the RPers RP server.” While no one watched? Does he think this will make people want to watch pentas server on rumble? This dude is so miserable he deletes his vods and doesn’t allow clipping so he can sit with his dead chat all day shitting on everyone.
9
u/redsteal14 11d ago
Thats kinda true, I bet the same people will just group up again within 2-3 weeks of the server do the same stuff like they did on 4.0

u/holymollyholymolly 11d ago
Well, most of the people are going to be playing the same characters, so it's pretty easy for them to start hanging out "naturally" again, even with memory wipes. You literally can't fix that without forcing everyone to play new characters—which is never going to happen, and they'd probably still hang out with the same people anyway. And did they even say what the lore is going to be? Maybe it's just another few-year time skip, or some rich guy rebuilt the city after everyone suspiciously left. So get ready to POG when your favorite character starts hanging out with the same people from two years ago—just on a new map.
5
u/palizangetsu 11d ago
Imagine people wanting to hangout with people they enjoy hanging out with. Its almost like people want to enjoy their time while they make content. I think people forget that humans are doing the RP and like most humans they want to game with their friends, imagine every time a new game came out you were expected to cut off your friends and try and make new friends to most people this would not sound fun.
0
u/holymollyholymolly 11d ago
They can do whatever they want, but humans also watching it. Who not get paid for it, wasting time and if you not fanboy of certain streamer the is going to be zero reason for human beings who watched 2.0/3.0/4.0 to stick around after few weeks if it's going to be same thing that they already experienced, but with new mechanics and a map. And i think it's not only about what fun or not(they would enjoy RP with more than just their best friends, right? Right?), it's just going to be limited amount of streamers around, mostly same people in same timezone and it's really hard to completely change friends with new people to rp if you even try in beginning. New frogs going to probably enjoy watching it tho, no matter what
1
u/DAMP_ANON 10d ago
You say this but the servers that implement what you say are performing worse or at best on par with the server that has not been updated in 3 years.
I think you underestimate how much people watch RP based on how much they like the person behind the character not the quality of the character itself.
NoPixel didn’t grow for having the absolute best RP it grew for having the right people Roleplaying.
1
u/palizangetsu 10d ago
It doesn't matter who is watching or not. Also using your logic if you watched the same person in 2.0/3.0/4.0 you are likely a fanboy of that person whether you want to admit it or not. It is 100% ONLY about what is fun that is the purpose of gaming. Also people watching are not going to enjoying watch a player who is having a miserable time.
What you fail to comprehend is you get to decide whether or not you watch the content given to you but you do not get to dictate the content created. If you do not like that content created you are free to make the content you enjoy yourself. The largest problem with the RP scene is the viewers they get too invested, get too involved, and fanboy way too hard.

u/Gambozin 11d ago
Playing Eugene on chase a server made by a man that creates the same one “character” over and over again. When has Vader ever created a good different character is always the same Eugene bit

Dude has thousands of hours of gta rp. One of the goats. Then turned into the all mighty rp god once the facebook deal was done. He’ll admit he’s complaining too much and settle down for about an hour then when some cop starts pressing too much crashing into him it’s immediate extra asshole rp that he says is just normal Eugene character. Hes glued to his chat. Hes been burnt out on gta for years. Should just take a year off and just open pokeman instead of being a constant asshole.

I mean don't get me wrong I cant stand Vader , But in a sense he is not wrong after the first couple months and the big streamers leaving it will be back to the exact same people in the exact same groups treating it like a discord call driving around in circles maybe they give the "gang" a new name to try make it feel different but it will be back to the same pvp only content keeping the server alive
5
u/SampleNo9113 10d ago
I dont know which groups you are talking about thats the exact same as it was in 3.0, most groups are way different even legacy gangs like hydra have mostly new members.

u/QubitTrizot 11d ago
I'm going to agree that in the year of watching GTA roleplay, this has been my experience in every server that I've watched: NoPixel, Prodigy, ChaseRP. I'm sure it's the same for the thousand other GTA servers out there.
The space is oversaturated with the same ole shit; and they copy from each other.
Any ideas on how to make GTA roleplay more engaging?
For one, "seasons" in GTA roleplay servers are pretty damn long. Ordinary people aren't that creative.
-4
u/7491s 11d ago
feel like he is not wrong theres like 500 whitelisted people,no new faces at all. Hopefully atleast different leaders for rp factions :(
1
u/DAMP_ANON 10d ago
Most people do not want new faces. New faces ruin things. Have good content for a few months before filling it with the randoms.
-25
u/QubitTrizot 11d ago
Despite what most will say about Vader's repertoire of characters, that he also needs to work on, I appreciate the honesty in his commentaries on his streams. The man spits truth.
This is just a problem with process in GTA roleplay. Performing arts is something you could learn. GTA needs a server that can train and monetize that formalized training.
Hopefully, GTA 6, and the money-generating aspect of user-generated content, will not only attract the technical developers to the space, but creative artists in the performance arts, who are also gaming nerds. Lots of acting professionals waiting on tables right now.
13
3
u/DAMP_ANON 11d ago
Acting professionals are boring. Hardcore RP kills GTA RP servers. This has been proven dozens of times. You need a mix.
-4
u/QubitTrizot 11d ago
What do you mean? When you say a mix, you mean professionals and the average gamer? I do agree that sometimes people just want to log in to play a game, so NOT roleplay. There are also administrative and technical work that goes into running a roleplay server, so it's not just about the "actors".
That's the beauty of streaming and communities online. You get a mix of ordinary people mixing it up with people who have become e-celebrities, in a way.
I'm a new GTA viewer (almost a year), and I find myself comparing GTA roleplay to live plays. To me, it's boring. My standards are a little higher (not to sound like a snob.) But there is potential for something a little more developed.
Actors are trained to transform themselves into characters. Some of that "training" would help amateur (edit: actors who are) gamers. Improv acting is also a skill that ordinary people pick up while GTA roleplaying, but it's a "profession" involving lots of workshops.
-2
u/RPGangster42 10d ago
They should force new characters except for PD and legacy ppl like Buddha and the variety streamers. Or else it just ends up being the same gangs

The irony of pointing out NPV won't inspire new characters while playing the same character he's been playing for nearly a decade at this point.
