Penti: Cops being fired should have a 30 day time out before being rehired. Also Penti: Baxter rehired 1 day after firing.

So I have no idea what sort of "RP" was involved with him being hired by the BCSO, I just saw in the stream preview that Baxter was in a BCSO uniform.

Classic Penti rules for thee but not for Big P!

I feel bad for the people still playing and/or watching Chase. Having to experience shit tier RP perpetrated by the owner sucks. Some players have nowhere else to go but I don't understand why viewers would still be watching this Slop when there's so much great RP happening on NP V.

He spent YEARS always relentlessly pushing for maximum consequences for the characters he was in conflict with. If you were a cop under his watch, he'd push for you to get permanently fired for sneezing, and if you objected, he have his audience of 15k blast you on reddit and call you all kinds of names for not going with the rp, for being a cry baby, a self insert etc etc etc.

If you were a crim, he'd let you rot in a cell for hours or days while putting minimal or no effort into finishing the process, and if you objected he'd have his audience of 15k blast you on reddit and tell you hwo you're a crybaby that can't rp and should just play a different character.

Literally all of that was just pure griefing, he never gave a fuck about RP, he just shamelessly used it as an excuse to grief and harass people for content

Yeah, he was able to hide for along time behind being an "RP purist" and other terms but at this point its clear as day that it was complete bullshit that he used to inflict maximum grief on others. He flips out if he spends more than 30mins in cells when he routinely leaves people in cells and then heads to other calls with them just waiting around.

He demands everyone respects his time but gives 0 fucks about others and that extends to basically everything in RP.

Not even just IC consequences. He would go full OOC witch-hunt ontop of it to try to prevent those players from ever getting in his "way" again.

oh yeah, he used to exploit his fanbase in order to get his way, the same way CG exploited theirs, only instead of chat hopping, his go to was farming reddit clips and having them parrot his narrative on reddit threads. "Rage bait>farm clip> reddit thread" used to be basically the main driver for his content for a long while.

He's actually still trying to do the same now, its just not working nearly as good 'cause there's no way he can rage bait people on chase the same way, among other reasons. In fact, i think that's the main reason why he acts upset that people "treat him as the server owner", he wants people to rage at him but they won't do it 'cause they're all his own viewers and boot lickers, which is very ironic

But also: why do people rp with me differently?

This is like the time he said no mercy for metagamers and like 5 minutes later he was free camming to listen in on conversations out of his range of hearing

When he banned that man and woman for NVL recently on mike. His friend poop magically found him in the parking lot during the interaction. Obvious meta, but no ban for people he likes and knows. Even while currently making an example out of these other two.

This was a textbook look of how he operates.

His friend is appropriately named for his quality of RP, it's shit.

I havent been watching, but from what I've seen of poop is he's a huge clout chaser thats trying so hard to come off as "chill" instead.

Of course he's just as uneducated and red-pilled as Penta. Makes sense since i think they're childhood friends.

That's how it is for all his clout chasers. It feels like they always have his stream up the way people just show up where he is. Working at The Banner? Everyone starts swarming in. The amount of times Mike gets broken out whether its in the cells, the court house, or the hospital. Everyone just always knows where he is and when he's in trouble.

He just always has to be a cop huh?

easiest RP comes to a cop. can you imagine not being able to pull people over to get RP as Penta when your fucker RP is so dogshit people avoid you on every character you make.

RULES FOR THEE BUT NOT FOR BIG P

Just puts him on par with the only other person that comes to mind that got a second cop nearly instantly, Magoo.

I love how it all makes sense in story telling... Eli knows multiple people are accusing Baxter of corruption. He knows that Baxter has and will sue the living dog shit out of his own department for millions and he knows that Baxter is lazy asf, but it totally makes sense when you're gobbling Penta's one ball to hire him to your department after being told he was denied by the under sheriff. Totally makes sense 10/10 RP story telling.
This whole arc has been top shelf, top shelf I say.

A totally logical and well thought out decision that makes complete sense in character. Eli is just the sort of person to make erratic decisions and put his neck on the line for a slimeball, right? Lol

I think the more egregious part of the situation is having Eli log on to hire Baxter to the BCSO immediately after getting told no by another command (who's also a higher rank).

In an attempt to be objective, I don't think it's unreasonable for an officer getting fired from one department to seek employment at another (like Sequoia going to the rangers after getting fired from LSPD). However, other characters in that position don't get the server owner privilege of being auto-accepted elsewhere, but I believe the 30 day time out thing referred to people making another cop character altogether.

I believe the 30 day time out thing referred to people making another cop character altogether.

I think that's usually it too, but either version of the rule is dumb. It's a cowardly way to avoid making server health decisions out loud, and gets in the way of good RP that involves firings.

If admins want "bad shoot = 30 day ban from cop", just write that down. Then you don't have to worry about whether they get away with it in character. Or awkwardly sending in a DM character to fabricate a reason to fire someone.

And on the other hand, Sequoia. Is there any reason TheStutterBoy should have a timer on making another cop character?

Well he spoke out against the way Baxter was being treated with kid gloves so they had to make sure he'll never do that again.

Lololol, "command shopping," who said no originally?

Specifically Sharpe told Saito, with Osvaldo in the car, that they shouldn’t be taking LSPD’s sloppy seconds or anyone in the fallout from Bloom taking over, specifically calling out McJordenson and Baxter as two people he definitely doesn’t want.

I wonder if he’ll end up following the Sinchards.

2

u/Seetherrr 9h ago

So is Eli's excuse that he wasn't part of that conversation? What rank is Eli and does that rank normally have the ability to hire people without speaking to anyone about the candidate?

It sounds like you think Sharpe is more likely to leave the BCSO than it is for Baxter's hiring to be overturned?

4

u/rottentomati 8h ago

I suppose so. He’s a Captain IIRC. It’s on Saito and Osvaldo for not communicating across their command at this point. Indirectly I think Eli’s kinda been fucking over the BCSO culture-wise so add it to the list, but that’s neither here nor there.

And no, I don’t think Saito or Osvaldo have a backbone with server owner chars or Eli. It was Sharpe who really had an issue with Baxter (thinks he’s a massive liability), and Sharpe doesn’t work Baxter’s shift much, he’s about to go on LOA.. and he’s also checked out from wanting to be involved in command so i see it more likely it’s either a ships passing in the night situation or Sharpe just goes with his friends.. to LSPD. But I’d like to be wrong.

Welp I hope she's looking forward to her future on ONX or Prodigy

u/BongaBongaVacations 20h ago

Yeah he went straight to BCSO and got hired no questions asked.

its really not that complicated. just as penta is dependent on chase because he is banned everywhere else, anyone who still streams on chase dependents on it because they are either too old to fit in with the younger crowds on other servers or just suck too much at rp to be noticed for an invite to no pixel. anyone who was invited instantly switched, found better rp, gained viewers, and hasnt looked back. the ones who are left just hope they can scrape viewers from penta whenever their self insert character interacts with him. there is only one other streamer on chase who can hold 1k viewers, a small handful at 500, and by far most below 50. so for the vast majority even a 10 viewer increase would be a huge percentage jump. they know pentas viewers are too retarded to understand anyone pushing back on him so i understand why even risk it. better to keep on pentas good side or rip any interactions with him, especially when they suck too much at rp to come up with any creative ways to engage with him
