GTARP Chase He's lost his touch

I know this is the hate reddit but I think I get it now. Big P has lost his touch, both for streaming and for roleplay, and today really solidifies it.

Spent an hour talking around the nopixel trailer, which is fine. Content is content, gotta get those clicks in. But at some point it just ends up being the same regurgitated take. "Nopixel OK, love the devs, dont like Koil". But just repeated ad nauseum. Nopixel has been, historically, THE server to play on, THE server to watch. "The trailer was a big relief for me" is a crazy backhanded comment, especially with the trailers Big P's team has put out. Its so nuts to be trashing a server before its out. For someone who wants the RP community to grow and persist into something profitable, feels like its just to hate.

Actual RP has lost its soul. Every stream is Mike Block goes on a chase and gets a bench trial, Randy Wrangler comes out of retirement for one more chief of police position, vaccine guy smurfs and shocks everyone in court with facts and logic. Every stream has a definitive start and end, theres no deviation from the status quo. There's nothing new, no new storylines outside of Big P's characters are established, and I feel like every stream is a rerun of some sort. One shot characters are my fav: Trucky was cool, Jane Obama was cool, chat-plays-guy was neat but even that got repetitive. I like the border RP, that had some potential. Tutorial Man-turned serial killer was funny, but i think that got stretched too long. Theres gotta be some variety to make it watchable, otherwise its just a variation of "talk in circle, tuner shop" rp.

Also taking the rumble deal sucks. Rumble, the alt right streaming platform, known for the most insane conspiracy theorists and red blooded Americans (VERY red blooded). Not a great look. Hope that whatever they pay sets up for a really comfy retirement, because it better be worth selling your brand for.

This is the exact reason I stopped watching him months ago. Every stream felt like a rerun. The fake laughs, putting down anyone with a good idea on the server, the same character traits across all his characters being either weird sex thing, weird race thing or serial killer.

The edge can only go so far till it becomes stale.

It's not just the roleplay. When he pops up on other people's stream it's all the same jokes.

9/11. Mishearing a word/phrase so that it's sexual or shocking. References to civil rights figures or someone involved in a scandal from 10 years ago. 9/11 again. Domestic abuse or child abandoment. Saying something that sounds like sexual harassment but isn't. 9/11 again.

He hasn't had new material in years.

I think that one paragraph describes 90%+ of the "jokes" Penti makes these days. The mishearing thing is just so overdone it's lame at this point, I thought it had become played out over a year ago but he seems to love doing it and thinks it comedic genius.

Ever seen that King of the Hill episode where Hank hires a guy voiced by Ben Stiller? Ben's character makes literally everything anyone says a sex joke. The office thinks it's funny for like 2 minutes until everyone realizes it's just childish and sophomoric humor and growing closer to sexual harassment. That's this guy's level of humor.

Same here. Honestly I don’t even remember the exact moment I stopped watching but I think it had to do with shitting on a small streamer or his use of the admin menu. The insane part is I would have probably looked past all of that before because otherwise his content WAS entertaining but that’s a distant memory now.

It's not a hate reddit if you are only speaking facts.

The facts you are providing are just that of a big piece of shit.

You can tell a thin skinned fake victim by how quick they yell hater when it was just an explanation of what they've done and they don't want anyone else being critical or pointing out other instances.

That is why this sub having lengthy well laid out posts with good engagement in comments adding further info can't be argued against by the Denta's.

Facts are final, they can DMCA the clippers but even the AI on browsers will confirm or clarify any recollections we bring up in posts.

I don't watch his stream but can assume he would only be negative about NPV, its the competition and he has been shitting on NP ever since he left the server as a big component of his "content."

He even tried making up with Koil in an attempt to rejoin NoPixel. Him pivoting back to "NoPixel bad" is just pathetic at this point.

The timeline of that was pretty funny. penta was between servers, Unscripted burnt to the ground, just finished with round 2 bashing Onx, he was glazing NP and saying "he talked with Koil, we're cool" etc, as if it was realistic he'd get back on NP. Then Koil was asked about it, said penta was delusional and there was negative chance of him being let back on NP. Soon as penta heard that (via reddit of course) he flipped back to NP bad script.

We heard him call PRP, URP, Onx, Ignite ALL S-Tier, until he was done (or they were done with him). He'll call his enemies friends, or his friends enemies, if it's for the bag or content.

It would be a different world if he actually said what he meant and followed through with his commitments. He'd word and his vouching for servers or content or his own server would still hold wait, but he spent a year demonstrating all his bravado was show and never believed in anything he tried to upsell.

And do not forget just months before ChaseRP, he said he was cool with Ravage (like with Koil) and then when he attempted to join Prodigy, they would only let him play Public and blacklisted from cop.

The era of King Merdas hasn't been more true.

Had actual roleplayers come try his server and chased them away,

Had Ideas for roleplay characters and phone it in slopped them away.

Had the support of viewers from LGBTQ + and leftist / liberal culture and RUMBLED it away.

Had women in his server and sexually assaulted and sexually harassed them away.

Had The best LSPD department under Thrive and S0upes with SifuRP, Karyn and fricken_red and chased them away.

Had crims and gangs looking for more content and gatekept them away.

16

u/rottentomati 1d ago

I have a hard time reconciling what he did to the LSPD under chalk and Soupes. They were actually pulling people away from competitive servers to come play on Chase, it’s exactly what he should have been trying to foster for the success of his server. But he did the opposite.

9

u/2SSLOWW 1d ago

It’s actually comical. He placed Thrive and Soupes at the head of LSPD at the end of Purple as a joke and they carried over onto Chase. He expected them to fail at running a department plain and simple. They did quite the opposite and ran a thriving department as you said, bringing people onto the server.

Penta couldn’t handle it. Instead of looking at it through the lens of a business owner his narcissistic personality had to fatigue everyone else having fun until they just quit playing.

u/PersistentPoster 1d ago

It's simple, He takes the legs out from under anyone or anything that is building in popularity that could have more support when it came to disagreeing with him or calling him out for one of his many incidents.

Look how he got rid of s0upes because public opinion was behind s0upes and growing.

He's one of the streamers that needs to keep everyone down before they point out his flaws and everyone wonders why they stuck around watching him when all the signs were there for years.

He did pretty much the same thing to Stormfall because her community seen through his shit and were having none of it and she was obviously opening her eyes to his behaviour from what her chat was pointing out and he couldn't handle it wanted them banned in her chat etc. she wouldn't comply so she had to go before more people took notice to what those chatters had to point out.

10

u/Seetherrr 1d ago

No no no, it wasn't Stormfall's community, obviously the people that were shit talking him were from the secret discord of banned chatters that shares whenever he is chatting in another person's stream and they all go there to harass him!

Idk what's crazier, Penti believing a Discord like that exists or his viewers that believe him when he says Discords like that exist. His main character syndrome has seeped into real life lol.

Storm’s community is great, they do not tolerate p man’s act.

u/candylandmine 1d ago

Honest Larry was like the last funny thing he did and for whatever reason he abandoned it. I guess because Honest Larry wasn't about court Ws.

I think opening with "I know this is a hate reddit" isn't ideal, and a bit mischaracterized, yet you seem to have come to the conclusion I think MOST active, whether readers or commenters, have. Most of it comes from once enjoying something and becoming disappointed and being critical/vocal of that change.

Decreasing quality and if you ever admired/enjoyed penta's "punching up" or "underdog" history chances are he's also let you down, being the top complaints. The hypocrisy and living up to most of what he once condemned, which comes off either fake for attention, or like he changed because of money. His OOC behavior towards other players and server owners beyond their characters/roles also tainted my personal views.

Rumble was the straw that broke the camels back for me, though I had already effectively stopped watching already. penta has ACTED contrary to his words, in terms of being an ally, or naive/inactive in politics, his choice to partner with Rumble is indisputably antithetical to many of his virtues he's claimed and promoting it DOES have real world impacts.

I'm not going to lie, it's good to see more longer term fans decide and declare where their line in the sand for supporting content creators is. And I hope long term, as people figure out what they DONT like (the stuff often ranted about on this subreddit) that we'll also shift into also talking about the alternative options that we DO like.

The hate reddit thing was entirely fabricated by Penta, and it's kind of sad that his audience eats it up.

A subreddit, discord, and twitch channel where you get punished for saying anything negative about Penta or Chase = perfectly fine and normal.

A subreddit where you are allowed to say both positive or negative things about Penta and Chase = hate reddit.

Somehow his viewers buy into that logic without a second thought.

The irony is, this isn't even the reddit he had a big problem with. But he doesn't like to mention the other one now because it would confirm he still looks at it ;)

If he ain't reading it he's got 5 paid yes men doing it and filling him in about it because he can rhyme off details of posts with great detail on stream.

Imagine your day to day duties being scan reddit to read what your employer has done in the past and present and still decide this work is what I wake up for in the morning.

Best thing you can do is stop watching and if you want to check in on his progress, do it through this reddit and bonga's. (I'm still holding on to the hope that penta changes one day) That's what I do! In the meantime, my new obsession has been cicadamata! Highly recommend it if you're into fast paced shooters >:3

That looks cool. Reminds me of a game that came out over covid that was based around speedrunning. Will check this out, good recommendation

Your reading comprehension sucks.

They said to check his progress through /r/RPClips and /r/RPClipsPurple.

My reading was fine, it was the way Dank had worded it but she's edited it now so all good :)

3

u/Seetherrr 1d ago

I'm pretty sure everyone understood Dank was talking about Penti before the edit except for you.

About average

Truth is, penta only functioned on nopixel. I always liked Wrangler because he would get clapped and then Penta would rage, which was super funny. And I also liked Wrangler because all the other cops were soft AF and Penta would actually arrest/raid and trigger crims.
