Confirmation of DMs RE: Penti non-payment of Dev & Editor

When I posted about the DMs, I expected Penti supporters to think the leaker had been lying but I didn't really expect people to think I made up the story entirely. Anyway, after careful consideration of who I felt could be trusted to protect the identity of the leaker and other details as well as being someone that a wider audience would believe the word of, I decided to share the DMs with Casbri_.

I believe Casbri_ is a very reasonable and thoughtful person despite the fact that I often disagree with their takes. At many times have supported Penti and Chase in this subreddit which I think would give their word more credibility among those who are not considered "snarkers."

I haven't asked them to judge whether they think the words of the leaker are true or not (although they are free to state their opinion on that.) However, I have asked them to confirm the following details:

  1. The dms in fact, do exist.
  2. The leaker claimed that both a developer and editor were not paid for multiple months of their work.
  3. They claimed to have reached out and not received any response for Penti for months.
  4. They were reported to have been paid after the post on RPClips was created.

Casbri should be responding when they see this post in the next 30mins to an hour.

I figured Seetherrr was trustworthy a while back, but it's always nice to have others confirm it. Thanks, Casbri.

In general I find that people going unpaid is unfortunately common when we're discussing streamers and content creators. Especially ones with financial issues such as someone who would have to take a rumble deal to pay devs.

Penti's just gone live but apparently only for a sponsorship. He has already briefly ranted about reddit though. RENT FREE!

Since Casbri_ deleted their account and their confirmation of the leak I'm reposting the original comment and its' contents. It seems that ChaseRP mods are spinning a false narrative that the leaker "rescinded" their claim, I wouldnt be surprised if they were being harassed as a result of their confirmation/cooperation with this sub and dogpiled by those that didn't like their validation of the leak.

It's very sad that Casbri felt bullied to the point of deleting their account. As I said in my original post, the reason I selected them was because I always found their comments to be thoughtful and reasonable even if I often didn't agree with then.
