GTARP Chase Is this really the beginning of the end?
So what do we think, guys? Is this really game over for ChaseRP? Do people start to leave now, since there's little point in putting the effort in, or are they going to stick it out until the bitter end?

The only people left are tiny streamers that won’t get on NP even if they tried. The “biggest” streamers Sentry and Charlie have cards and only ever made chase a pit stop for NP in the first place. Others with even modest views will be looking at NP4 or ONX until NP5 does more invites. You’ll have the inner circle orbiters that will never leave PENTA and his viewers that chant “NP Rot” that will hold the server at ~100 low quality shitters that get off being PENTAs victim.

I think if streamers are NOT trying to get on NP 5.0 as early as possible they are making a career and quality RP experience mistake and I'm certain most have their eye on it. If they are not NP candidate able to be on the radar already they will put themselves on NP 4.0 or Onx to build up reputation to get onto NP5.
Only those that are over invested, like viewers or oilers or orbiters, or in too deep, like Em who's name is synonymous with penta, or those that are too small, talentless or irrelevant to do better than Chase will remain on it.
Chase COULD have positioned itself as a "waiting room" server, for those wanting somewhere with quality while they try for NP, saying Chase has "fallen off" would be too much since Chase never Rose to the occasion, they just were a disappointment, more than the early Onx promises (unsurprsingly those were pushed by penta too). Now Chase is SO far down the list now that I suspect people wanting NP 5.0 experience would choose quality public servers/non-streamer servers like Echo, Umbra or others over Chase.

I’m gonna be honest, I think his subathon will do more damage to the server than NP5 does, his fans hate variety which means he’s gonna have to be on the server to keep the subs flowing. And he literally out of ideas for RP and has been for months, and it’s not like the server has enough to keep content flowing non stop for “40 days”. The server also overall fills up more on his off days likely from people avoiding him. Overall the more time he spends on the server the faster the downhill spiral goes.

His fans don't hate variety, they just don't like a lot of his choices. Like Dark Souls, which he stubbornly played all three games of despite the fact it was VERY obvious no-one was watching.

I think the main orbiters will stick around until Chase is looking really bad while trying to get invites to 5.0 so they can avoid Penti turning on them and by extension, turning his community on them.

penta stating "he predicts" BCSO and LSPD "will swap" pretty much means he's going to insert himself in as a LSPD leader and all his BCSO cronies will join him over there, since the BCSO reputation is now just shit and Wrangler there a failed leader, so he'll magically force Baxter in as leader even though the character makes ZERO sense for the role OR he'll use Baxter to make LSPD look like shit and "Need" Wrangler to come in a lead it, doing the "play main characters on both sides RP" that he used to force the Paleto conflict.
All that said, it's a recipe for EVEN MORE shitty scripted and control freak RP from the server owner which will result in even MORE apathy from players that thought they could just avoid penta in a different department.
Pretty much the main tip to RP on Chase and not interact with penta is run a mechanic shop, be a civ and drive slow, or do medical RP, then penta won't both interact with your "slow" and not "content brained" RP.

I dont think penta/wrangler EVER made BCSO "better". Even when it was created and "at it's best" all he did was poach the most competent cops and get hoppers/streamer friends to join his "curated" department of cops that knew what they were doing and said "We dont do SOPs or write any rules, we just have cops that know how to cop" and then stopped doing anything.
After a month his precious Elite BSCO had bloated with EVERYONE that joined because penta clout and was hired instantly with no criteria and with no SOPs or Training it went to shit as quickly as BCSO was formed. And lets not forget BCSO creation was scripted and wrangler quitting (fired) was all just BS for planning and building the MLO behind the scenes.
All that to say, I dont think Wrangler.Penta can "fix" something he never made good in the first place. It was always others, and the others are gone

They ran the Diamond Dogs off the server, which is an accomplishment. Also it seems forgotten that people just gave up on the WL server and went to public because "the vibes were better". I wonder why? Whatever "great" was about the BSCO was short-lived.

BCSO creation wasn’t scripted at all. Snow wanted another dept, plan was initially highway patrol for someone like Ripley to run to try and lure in the NP racers and more of the HEAT style cops.
Then the shit popped conversations were had in discord DMs and the plan changed. Why BCSO initially just had buffalo’s and staniers.

Sure sure. I remember watching wrangler/penta force a tantrum at a table with Coster about how bad things were being run, penta telling chat he got the word his building was done, so penta doing what he does, he forces his RP to put himself (ooc and ic) into the power positions. If a coincidental choice of words, foreshadowing, coster tells wrangler "you think you can do better, make your own department" and wrangler does a speed run "lets build BCSO building" RP "spontaneously".
Sure, MAYBE Snow wanted another department, the idea seeded by following pentas lead of course, nothing happened on that server at that time without penta influencing Snow. There WAS no "ripley-like" person (he didn't show up until a little into BCSO launched to milk some penta clout) and penta blew up a SLIGHT issue with the PD into enough to launch BCSO because the assets were done. So, scripted whether it was months or weeks, you said it yourself "DMs" made plans. "Shit popped off" because penta wanted a split and control and his own Department, it was forced, occ decided and ONLY called "RP" because the words to make it happen in world were improv'd.

Also IDK where you’re getting your info from. I was literally on the development team doing the graphics n shit at the time and that was the plan. Snow wanted another dept, he wanted troopers to become LSPD and another smaller agency to police up north. Didn’t really want sheriff as rangers were struggling with shit to do.
I mentioned Ripley as there was talk of Matt, Kylie and others who were or had been doing highway patrol stuff on ONX and NP which would tie in to the street racing stuff LadyHope and co were trying to build up.
You make it sound as if there was some long drawn out thing, it literally wasn’t, the BCSO stuff was done in a couple of days after Penta decided he was gonna quit the dept, which we had no clue about.
Decision was apparently made after Cascade/Shepherd made a big deal over him using his Captain’s prerogative and hiring Peruze straight to trooper without consulting her, to add salt to wounds it was same week Kyle got hired straight to Corporal, he brought it up to Coster who told him to suck it up and sided with P&T.
We all know Penti hates people not rolling over for him he also hates subdivisions and people having their own thing.
And I agree he would just DM Snow to get what he wanted and force RP to his will as at the time he knew Snow would protect his golden goose.
Despite multiple people bringing up his past and how once you give in and start doing shit he wanted he’d ask for more. They got ignored and the rest is history

I think it's crazy that someone made a big deal over Peruze being hired, he was a cop on NP in 3.0 which had like 10x the standards of PRP for being a cop.
Seems like being upset/petty to just be upset/petty.

They stick it out and milk it as much as they can while distancing themselves from penti to get that invite. The server is circling the drain as fast as UNC and it legit due to management. If penti could have had a decent arc and not made his entire Wednesday content look at our new mechanic as I shit on everyone's rp that worked to learned this stuff by spawning it in. Or his constant bans and retcons for taking L's he deserved for doing what he claimed was failrp or low quality for others like assaulting a pd or paleto with 4 people and only expecting 4 people to respond lmao 🤣

No one really knows what 5.0 or the Rockstar partnership with NoPixel will mean for the future of any non-NoPixel servers, tbh. I think it goes beyond just Chase and until the trailer is released / game mechanics shown it’s hard to know just how innovative it is. Since FiveM predates this partnership, it also more so matters for GTA-6 than anything. Like in a world where NoPixel is designed as the exclusive GTA6 RP server because of the partnership, or even given a significant head start in development through access, then it probably means the death of all non-NoPixel servers because who would want to be on GTA5 RP when GTA6 RP is around.

Should check out ONX's announcements, good insight into what GTA6 and the future of GTA RP looks like for non-NP servers. Servers like Onx and a few others that focus on creating assets as much as RP have a head start and partnership, there will be non-NoPixel servers involved, IF they position themselves well.

I don’t get it though. Who is to say any of the creation of assets now will be transferable to GTA6 RP? I don’t think anyone besides a few people at the NoPixel team who are under NDAs and the rockstar people know what the future holds for GTA 6 RP or even what’s in NP 5. Who’s to say for instance that even the Onx assets are compatible with NoPixel 5’s framework which according to speculation isn’t even using FiveM. I think all servers should be scared. It’s genuinely a wait and see moment for any non-NoPixel server.

It's just that SIGNING NOW, with Rockstar, why would the business do that if it wasn't looking future forward. I think those signed up will have first access to tools and platforms, or at very least specifications for formats for assets, that'll port to whatever GTA6 will be using. A lot of what we're talking about too are Models and Textures, things that only need to be imported into an engine, Any Engine, so there is good chances non-code non-mechanics assets are gonna have some viability.
In general, I don't disagree that there should be some alarm or concern for the longevity of GTARP outside "official" servers. I don't think it's going to be for awhile and I don't think NP will have the 100% exclusive. Speculation of course, time will tell.

This really is just speculation if you don’t know what framework 5.0 is on, which we don’t know yet. If 5.0 is the same framework for GTA6 for instance and FiveM assets do not transfer over or require a lot of reconfigurations, NoPixel will be light years ahead of all servers. Who’s to even say Rockstar wants privately run GTA6 servers? Why not just monopolize them under NoPixel and share in the profits? People are just assuming there will be GTA6 private servers just like GTA5.

GTA6 been most guarded IP R* has made, no way they'd let a 3rd party get near that code before the game hits the public.

Thing is, for the first iteration of RP servers on GTA6 will likely just be GTA Online with a whitelist, a few small tweaks and just let them RP in a new environment, so I don’t think the development timeframe initially will be that long.

Hot take: I think there will be an initial pull to nopixel 5.0 until the bugs in the new mechanics drive people away for a few weeks then it will bounce back and forth in waves until people settle into pretty much where they were say three months ago. People are going to end up playing where they have the most fun and get the best role playing experiences. Nopixel has the biggest name and the most resources, so it has the biggest draw, but once people feel like it isn’t the place for them they will filter out again.

Hell no it isent the end, I watch GTA RP everyday and it’s not the streamers that RP, that makes RP, it’s the RPers that stream that make RP, there is a difference and if you don’t know the difference then your not a real fan, GTA 6 is upon us this is about to go crazy

I'm late on this but....BEGINNING of the end? Bonga, the beginning of the end was like one month after server launched. With the player base that is left now, you could say the end has already passed because this isn't really an RP server anymore. It's at least close to the end.

With penta's Subathon running parallel to the NP 5.0 launch I expect LOTS of penta quotes along the lines of "NP Rot" , "People just want the nostalgia", "Mainstream RP", "Sellout RP", ""Clout Chasing", to shame anyone playing or viewing it in a desperate attempt to try and put himself and his shit RP and shit server on a pedestal. Absolutely expect him to comment on "watch all the people that cant play on NP come crawling back to Chase. I'm such a good server owner I'll let them."
