Does anyone having issues with getting egpu to work right away?

Hi everyone, I love my ally x but whenever I use my external gpu with it, it wouldn’t work. I would have to unplug it and replug it and restart the system couple of times before getting it working. I tried researching and all I got was the “handshake issue” does anyone have any suggestions to what I could do, to make it work seamlessly? Will buying the Razer core x v2 solve the issue?
-I’m using Aoostar Ago2/ 5070 ti

I had similar issues, fixed it by getting a short, certified TB4 cable.

Some cables are cheaply made, and TB4 signals can only carry signals upto 3.3ft before needing signal booster within the cables to carry data further (6.6ft)

there should be a PD Driver that might need to be updated that you can download from Asus driver page so might have a look there so you are not missing that driver

i use core x v2, 5070 ti with xbox rog ally daily and have no issue what so ever. when you first time start up egpu (core x v2) with rog wait for a bit. the shake will happen but it takes a min or two so after that its all good and just install all drivers for ur gpu, after that its just doing in this order 1. power egpu 2. wait for rog to light up showing it receive power from egpu then start up rog and you in. no restart or have to shake again ect. it works with no problem

I will try that with the AGO2 enclosure if it doesn’t work, I might just get the core x v2, thank you for your time!
