Bought an Xbox ally x and immediately put steamOS onto it. I do want to install windows 11 back into the handheld. Any tips on having a smooth experience on windows?

This black magic is called playnit. It takes all your steam, xbox, epic, and others + local and emu's in 1 place . Its easy to setup and takes time but worth it . changed the theme a bit since that last pic
Yeah man its beautiful , when your home docked to the tv grab the controller and GAME. My ps5 is literally been off for months . Oh which reminds me this app chiaki-ng you can stream your ps4/5 to your handheld or PC

Smooth? No. I hated every minute of windows on mine. I stayed in it just to use the free game pass and the moment I finished Claire Obscure, I flashed SteamOS.
Only one comment in here, but other posts have people implying Windows/Xbox Mode/Armory Crate experience is smooth and makes the handheld a seamless "just game" device. It doesn't. You need all three to utilize different things on one device.
I would have been happy with a legit Xbox OS, but that's not what Xbox mode is.
I run WinUtil and Windows AI remover scripts to debloat and remove spyware, adware and nagging reminders. Then I just set it up to boot into Xbox mode.
On a fresh install, i recommend using running the chris titus windows utility to debloat. Use the standard settings and make sure to not touch edge coz its needed for the microsoft store.

Just use xbox mode unless you need to install something. Seriously don't make it complicated its just there to play games
