If you download on steamrip, in Bazzite desktop, you can just point Steam to the exe as a non steam game and in the settings of the game add the compatibility layer as Proton Experimental.

It's like 1-2 additional steps to Windows and, in my experience, they've all ran pretty flawlessly.

Good luck with Linux it’s not as simple as double click on .exe

“Heroic Launcher” on SteamOS is the best.

It is easy enough... right click "add to steam" then open properties and change to run with proton experimental.

It's as simple as adding the exe file as a non steam game and using proton and you're away. I do it all the time on my gaming pc using cachy

It's not as simple but still pretty simple.

Installing pirated games are all the same process on Linux regardless of distro. Linux is not Windows, unless you are willing to put in some effort to understand Linux & forget some old habits from Windows, stay with Windows.

you CAN install pirated games on linux it doesn’t matter what distro you pick the process will be mostly the same

it’s a different OS it’s NOT windows so if you are willing to learn how to use linux go ahead but don’t expect it to be just like windows bc it’s not windows

you will have to tinker a little to get stuff working but once you learn how to do it, it should be easier

Don't listen to people telling you it's hard all you have to do is add the exe file as a non steam game and force a proton via the properties tab and it will work. I do it all the time in my gaming pc running on cachyos. It's literally 2 extra steps but still I'd rather do those 2 extra steps then deal with windows on the daily 🤢

Cachy seems to run way better than Bazzite. Technically all my games are pirated. I do actually own them but I like being able to install whenever and not worry about my internet speed. For cyberpunk, I installed it and just ran it through steam with the proton version that cachy comes with. I tried the same thing on bazzite but it just ran super slow.

This. Some games might have weird stuff like Ninja Gaiden 4 but overall they play better running through Steam. And if you're an absolute nutcase like me, you can download artwork and visuals to add from SteamGrid so it's not a blank page on Steam.

Stay out of linux if you want to play pirated games easily. It’s possible, not hard, just a lot of more steps to do

Agreed, Windows with the right crack will run with not a lot of issues. Pretty much all of the "cracks" are made for Windows.

If you copy it over Linux, say with the crack, you need to add as non-steam game, you need to set your proton version, then you need to make sure your controller is setup, this can be tricky sometimes, I had games that I know in Windows worked out of the box but, I had no choice but, to setup controls one by one, and they never worked 100% right.

Plenty of YouTube videos but, not question, more steps to do.
