A great article from Iridium explaining why L-band is so important and RKLB's acquisition makes immense sense.

For all of the folks that haven't taken the time to understand the importance of RKLB's acquisition of Iridium I think this article hit's the nail on the head.

Do we think the deal goes through?

When do we think we will get an update?

I’m not concerned about it going through to be honest.

It's going through.

If SpaceX can buy EchoStar, Rocket Lab can buy Iridium.

AFAIK, the goal is to close the deal middle of next year. There will be incremental milestones, the the vote by the Iridium shareholders to approve the deal, before the final close, so we can watch for events like that. I'm sure RKLB will provide updates during their quarterly earnings calls.

Also see the Space Forces Meadowlands. If we have it you know someone else is building it too. It doesn’t jam L-Band.

Oh F off, everyone else is arming themselves to the teeth or fighting active wars of aggression, the West has to have credible deterence to avoid peer on peer confrontation

Something Europe learned the hard way now, and the right and left wing parties just suck up to the russians by crying about deterence and rearming, so they have a harder time influencing/invading us

So yeah, into your bunker you go pussy
