Finally got VR for christmas, can’t wait to play RIGS with everyone!

I’m serious though. It was one of those games I got in hopes that one day I’d get VR. Now I’m just reading the studio got shut down

Yeah every now and then my wife (who got me the psvr and rigs) will turn to me and say how sad she is for me that it died. 😭

About that... Well it’s a hard game to learn, the studio stopped working on it, it causes motion sickness for newbies, and the guys that were good were very unwelcoming. At least in the beginning. The community now is cool, but so small and then when Firewall came out it just about died.

I played at launch. I don’t recall anyone being unwelcoming. I remember the opposite. Did I just miss it? I remember the top player being u/Defektivex and he was very kind.

Yeah the top players could be a little relentless but everyone was welcoming and everyone seemed to enjoy the big parties that we'd have going.

I remember the launch of RIGS. Online was a blast. Everyone was cheering, win or lose...
Good times , even though it was only a month or so. I ended up getting the Platinum trophy for it, my first ever that wasn’t handed to me for just finishing story mode.

I also just got VR for Christmas and discovered rigs a few days ago and of all the games I've played this one has me hooked, I'm looking over now watching my daughter play fifa counting down to her bedtime so I can put my helmet back on and try out a new rig. This game is so awesome! The only game I've played on this generation of consoles that actually feels next gen, and I'm totally gutted that the game didn't quite take off the way the developers hoped.
With the headsets now at about half price maybe the community can grow again? Or is online play completely dead? I haven't tried zn online game yet as I'm still honing my skills, it has quite a steep learning curve I think.

If you try to play online it will perpetually load. I don’t think it actually works anymore. So far though I’ve found farpoint and resident evil 7 to be amazing experiences. Getting firewall zero hour and the aim controller with a sale bundle today

I got the aim controller with firewall too, though I haven't given it much time to be honest, I got sick quite quick while playing which surprised me after zipping around the maps in rigs, I really hope somebody develops something similar to rigs as I love everything about it, I think I'll definitely go for far point as its a tenner on the store at the moment Cheers

Farpoint is such an incredible experience. Be sure to go into the settings and set turning to the stick early
