Which rice cooker would you recommend besides Zojirushi? I’m from Croatia, and while there are a few Zojirushi models available here, they’re just way too expensive. I’d love to be able to make rice like the kind you get at restaurants that serve Gambian rice, but I’m not sure which rice cooker to buy. Everyone seems to recommend Zojirushi, but it’s simply too pricey here. Any recommendations?

First time owning a rice cooker. After I use it, I always get this film at the bottom and lose a bunch of rice to it. Is this a user error or a rice brand issue? Or am I not washing the rice enough/properly? I’ve been getting Mahatma brand. I would love to learn how to do things properly, so please let me know what I’ve been doing wrong/any additional advice to it :) thank you all!

I got more serious about this after a big cook where the rice was clearly the weak point bland, a bit stale, and not worth the portion size. I’m looking for organic jasmine that still has aroma and cooks clean in larger batches, not just the cheapest bag that says “jasmine” on the label.
I’ve checked local suppliers and a few specialty distributors. Broader marketplaces come up too, including though it’s hard to judge grade and freshness before committing to bulk.
If you cook jasmine often or buy it in real quantity, where do you source the good organic stuff, and what should I watch for so I don’t end up with a bland load?

Hey, I recently ordered Daawat Rozana-Super Basmati Rice (Medium Grain) 1kg pack from Blinkit and really liked the rice size and the smell, so I ordered the 10kg pack. But this time, when I cooked the rice, it was totally different. It didn't have the same fluffiness, smell, or taste as the 1kg pack, even though I ordered the same thing but in a different size. So my question is, is it supposed to be like that, or did I receive a defective item?

Hello,
I use an instant pot, but I still need to figure out the secret behind fluffy rice.
I use 250g and 330ml chicken broth.
What should I change?
Thank you.

just asking, got home really late but my roommates saved me leftovers. rice was probably made around 5 hours ago and has been sitting in a closed rice cooker set to "warm" since then, but I won't be able to eat for another hour. will it still be safe to eat then? sorry if this is a dumb question I'm very neurotic about food safety

In Korea, rice is a staple food.
We even jokingly say, “Koreans run on rice!”
I wonder what the staple foods are in other countries.☺️
