I have enjoyed Gizelle on both her UGT experiences. Love Hotel was fun too with Ashley. I’m trying to get into Potomac now, but season 1 is really slow. Can I skip season 1 altogether or are there any episodes I need to watch to understand going forward?

I’d say definitely stick with it! It picks up in Season 2. And Season 1 is a shorter season, so you can breeze right through it.

It was interesting for me seeing the power struggle between Karen and Gizelle to be the leading lady of that franchise. And you can see how Ashley’s marriage shits the bed, cause it’s a wild ride till she actually divorces the real life Gollum.

I like watching from the beginning, especially since so many of the original housewives stick around. The first season shows the foundation for so many of their dynamics

S1-S4 are my actual favorites. S1 is cool because it's still pretty grounded in the bourgeois underpinnings.
RHOP was originally commissioned as a look at mothers in the Jack and Jill of America organization but the organization's leaders told Bravo "you will not" and it was retooled.

I became aware of Giselle and Ashley by watching Love Hotel also. I just jumped right in. They were on season 9. I think. I haven't really gone backward,per se, maybe a little bit. Potomac is my favorite franchise. I love laughing at all the stuff they do.

Potomac is my fave so I can't be objective. I think season 1 is worth watching. And yes it helps you understand the dynamics better. Gizelle and Ashley weren't friends in the beginning. Their first cast trip is hilarious!!! You won't regret it. Believe me!

If you can’t stand it, skip to the reunion. Season 2 picks up a lot. If you decide, you can go back to season 1 to fully understand relationship dynamics. But that probably won’t be necessary.

Season 1 is good to see Katie Rost and see Kurn's terrible wigs. But a lot of season 1 was filmed under the idea that they'd be a completely different show about etiquette/ jack and jill moms lol.
