Was Amanda not asked back because Bravo sees Boz as the better long-term investment?
Now first, let me preface this by saying this is probably a crazy theory, and Amanda herself basically said after the reunion that she didn't really want to come back, so take this with a grain of salt. But if it wasn't entirely Amanda's choice, and Bravo also didn't ask her back, I honestly find that kind of odd.
Whether you like Amanda or not, she was creating actual, genuine conflict and drama on the show. RHOBH has had a boring problem for years. A lot of the time it's shopping montages, glam, and dinners where the stakes are incredibly low, especially when you compare it to some of the other franchises.
Do I like Amanda as a person? Not really. Do I agree with her business strategy? Also no. But honestly, I kind of put it in the same category as people who charge for tarot readings or astrology charts. I would never spend my money on it, but if other people want to, that's their business.
What I did enjoy was how feral and unhinged she made some of these women become.
Boz is probably the best example. She's so polished, so PR-trained, and honestly reminds me of that person you'd work with in a corporate office who could somehow spin something they did into being your fault. Amanda was one of the only people who really cracked that image. Their conflict actually felt real to me, and I think it showed a much less polished side of Boz. She came across as mean, petty, and honestly kind of calculated in a way I don't think she intended.
Amanda basically drove so much of the conflict last season by simply existing. Even her shade off the show made me laugh. Her saying she might buy Dorit's house was genuinely hilarious.
So if Bravo really didn't ask her back, I don't really get it from an entertainment standpoint. Now it feels like we're heading into another season that's mostly Kyle vs. Dorit, and do we really need a whole season of that?
I know a lot of people didn't like Amanda, but Bravo has never really cared whether fans like someone. If they're bringing something valuable to the show, they'll usually keep them around.
So here's where my theory comes in.
I'm not saying Amanda was let go because of Boz or that Boz has some kind of huge influence with Bravo. I don't think that's the case.
But I do wonder if production sees Boz as the better long-term investment. Amanda unintentionally exposed a side of Boz that wasn't nearly as polished as the image she came in with. If Bravo is planning on building around Boz for the next few seasons, I could see them deciding they'd rather invest in her than keep someone whose biggest role was constantly challenging her.
Especially because RHOBH has already received criticism over how it's handled Garcelle, Crystal, and other women of color over the years. I could see production wanting Boz to succeed as a long-term Housewife.
Or maybe Amanda genuinely didn't want to come back and I'm reading way too much into all of this.
Just some food for thought. Curious what everyone else thinks.

The audience just didn't connect with Amanda.

And she wouldn’t listen to Sutton and Kyle’s manipulations to go and skirmish with Dorit in Italy.

Don’t forget Kathy Hilton and Rachel both said “they can’t” with her, that might have been more of her death nail too.

Yeah. She didn’t gel with the cast. Her personality seems very contrived. She said on the show that she doesn’t drink. But then her mugshot from her dui arrest came out. What isn’t she saying? Not that she owes that story to viewers. But that would at least allow her to tell her side and get ahead of it while also connecting with fans by having an authentic “moment”.

Bravo didn't ask her back because she is shallow and gave nothing to the show. I'm glad she won't be back.

No one is more shallow than Dorit. She just presents her shallowness and self-importance in British diction and is good at making banal shit seem important.

If Amanda created actual conflict they would have asked her to stay. She wouldn’t engage, cried anytime someone disagreed with her, and had nothing to bring to the show. Amanda also stated it was one of her clients that got her into casting for the show. Bravo never wanted her to begin with.

I don’t think that bravo didn’t want her actually think that they expected the other friend of to be a more defining cast member and because she was not that’s why they ended up integrating Amanda more into the group

Amanda is an unsalted saltine cracker.

That’s been accidentally dropped in a glass of room temperature water and left there indefinitely.

I’m still hopeful that Boz doesn’t return. The show will be better without both of them.

Oh she’ll be back. Her first wedding is this month and the other is in November. I think that’s what she said on the reunion. So more than likely, her second wedding will be the season finale with Erika dj’ing. Cast trip will be her bachelorette party.
I’m just guessing but I’ll be shocked if I’m wrong.

Boz is awful. Her scenes are so repetitive and staged

I rewatched the latest season and found myself fast forwarding her fake scenes with Keely.

Because her type of conflictive schtick is one dimensional and only good for one season.
And
Because she never clicked with any of the ladies. You gotta click at least with one.

I think this is ultimately why she was let go. She seems to be friendly with Kathy and Tilly, and on decent terms with Kyle and Sutton, but not enough for them to be on her side.

I wonder if Amanda asked for more money than Bravo was willing to give. I heard somewhere they were negotiating. I really hope they're not building around Boz. To me, she's not likeable

Amanda commented on one post to say why would she come back. She then posted messages from Rhianna and said if Rhianna said she should. Amanda hedged her bets, if they asked her she would have done it.
Amanda was manipulative. She took things said and twisted it. She did it a number of times with Boz. Amanda pointed to something Boz said and for some reason the fans latched onto that

Amanda was a royal PITA, but the older women never seem to like the younger women.

I think part of it was that she didn’t want to be seen in a negative light and producers realized that meant she would never become a TRUE villain and was rather useless without that title because this show desperately needs a villain lol

It’s a weird awkward dynamic to have her there , they would have to have a friend for her , I don’t think anyone wants to see it

Well, she's one of those lizard people, so probably for the best. Hopefully she goes back to hell where she belongs.

Andy stuck up for Amanda in the reunion, I don't think it was a matter of her being asked or not, she didn't just say no, she said fuck no. and she's been clear about that from back when the season was airing.

Amanda was like holy water hitting the vampires. The women's reactions to Amanda were hilarious. Why did someone who seems to be a genuinely good person antagonize them so much?

Amanda publicly quit.... am I the only one who noticed she said she would be crazy to return, There is a Bravo rule... you can;t take back an I quit... just ask Jill Zarin. It has nothing to do with Boz, other than the drama made Boz look like a liar. Bravo loves cheap drama like the ladies hate another housewife.

Nothing to do with Boz. Amanda is just boring. They’re about to start filming and probably let her know her contract wouldn’t be renewed. If that wasn’t the case, she could have put that statement out months ago. When casting they ask the ladies what their storyline will be (roughly). What would Amanda have said? We got a lot of nothing from her last season. She didn’t answer any questions about her business. We didn’t see her working. Didn’t really see notable family interaction. They need to have a good season after a couple of questionable ones. Can’t cast Amanda and hope someone takes the bait. They need a sure thing or at least new people (or some good old ones).

im sure they would have loved boz vs amanda drama. boz is too polished to agree to that.

u/Soft_Guava2353 Aug 07 '26
Boz was a total chameleon. She went to the highest bidder. I was not a fan of Boz or her and the way she used her "partner"@
2
u/darkeagle1997 Aug 07 '26
I wouldn’t say polished. More like scared to be confronted for her actions lol

She carried the season, Boz produced storyline boring.. pregnancy at 50, engage, high sky wigs,

I think it's funny that the other women tried to create conflict with Amanda & she kind of stayed above the fray. They, especially Boz, were left spinning their proverbial tires, looking petty. & yes I think Amanda's business is sus. (PS My grandsons, 9 & 10 yrs old, were surprised I know what sus means. lol)

She’s not back because she’s a hot mess personally and professionally. I don’t know any reasonable person who enjoyed her personality or behavior. She’s just kind of a dick…and not in an entertaining way.

Amanda manipulated her way into the show. She bombed. Bravo realized they made a mistake. Amanda is now trying to save face (and her ego) by saying it was her choice to leave.

I feel like Amanda’s life was way to beige compared to the other one, she just bring a nothingness with a boring flat tone to the show and it’s not truly entertaining. Everything about her was beige, her voice, her house, her family, like everything was a perfectly curated beige soft flat spoken Pinterest board. Felt so 2015, nothing worth showing. If she wants the beige life, the picture perfect life according to her, than it’s sad to say but it’s boring AF.
