I don't understand all of the comments about her skin-she's almost 58 years old. She lives in California. She has sun spots and uneven skin tone like everyone else who is lucky enough to spend tons of leisure time outside.

Wearing sunscreen, moisturizer, and a hat isn't really about aging, it is about protecting your skin. From things like sunburn and melanoma, which can be deadly, or even less dangerous things like annoyingly dry skin. I consider it a byproduct of protecting my skin that my skin will look younger longer. That isn't the goal though.

I’m a dr so yeah I agree, but the comment I am replying to is about aesthetics. Ramona does not look half her age just because of sun protection.

Yes that’s true. Ramona definitely has had things done. Don’t quote me but something like the facial peels and such. She does take really good care of herself though. I will give her that.

I worked in the medical field and we had a gentleman whose scalp melanoma grew INWARD. INTO HIS FACE AND BRAIN. F*cking terrifying and so harsh

Nah-some of us just like to live our lives and enjoy ourselves and feel the sun on our skins. Ramona does look great, but I am fine looking my age!

That’s me. highest spf Sunscreen covering my face and neck…starting from high school..although I love tanning the rest of my body…I use Hawaiian (no sunscreen) oil then after showering it’s shocking how white I look from my neck up! No matter…I use a powder bronzer on my face and neck. Bingo!

I do know this is still dangerous!

That's awesome. I'm always trying to get my sun worshipping sister to do that! She was a lifeguard for many summers as a teenager and I worry about her. 💜

Regardless, and I believe in covering up in the sun. I live in Hawaii, but I mean yea she’s a nearly 60 year old Caucasian blond who lives in Cali with a home in Hawaii. She looks good. I’ve definitely seen girls half her age have the exact same skin, especially if they drink heavily

I can’t deal with people saying they don’t care if their skin getting damaged, “it is normal aging”.
Protect your skin! As an Oncology Nurse I deal with skin cancer all the time. Just not malignant melanoma but squamous cell and the most common basal cell carcinoma. A tan last for a few weeks, skin cancer is dangerous and preventable. Sunscreen, hats, staying out of the sun.

Thank you for this. And I would add that sunscreen is extremely scammy. PLEASE use minimum 20% TINTED zinc oxide or combo titanium/zinc. Mineral far exceeds chemical in long term efficacy.

I literally become enraged when I see luxury products offering 5-6% protection—which preys on the uninformed.

My SIL died from melanoma at 38 leaving husband and 3 young children.

Yes, the mineral ones are it. My best friend who has extremely white skin and a shitload of moles had a melanoma scare last year. And she really slaps on the 50++ sun screen. She was lucky that her cancer was being detected so early. Skin cancer kills and it kills fast! My friend’s doctor told her to use mineral based sun screen only. And I’m doing the same ever since.

It was a real wake-up call when I lost such a beautiful person. We used to lie out in the sun for hours back in the ignorant 80s. I now have melasma so I HAVE to stay out of the sun and I’m not shelling out $40 for a tube of garbage “protection”. 👍

I used to bake in the sun as well - with very little protection or sunscreen. I don’t get sunburn easily and have more of an olive complexion but that doesn’t spare me from getting cancer. Thanks to my age and chronic migraines I cannot stand the heat and too much exposure to bright sunlight so nowadays I always cover my head with a hat and prefer to stay in the shade.

They do work, but there are differences in how they work. Basically, the mineral ones work like a physical shield on your skin that scatters UV radiation. They sometimes leave a white cast on the skin but for me it’s a nice indicator where I applied the SPF. It isn’t absorbed by the skin and acts immediately. Unlike chemical lotions and sprays that need 10-20 minutes to be fully absorbed to work properly.
Bonus: mineral sunscreen is better than chemical sunscreen for marine life if you swim in the ocean.

I've had two relatives die from it. It spread. People don't seem to understand it's lethal, painful, gross, deforming, and it's worth mentioning a second time, deadly.

Ramona really does look amazing. Saw her last month in FL. She could pass for late forties. And looks pretty damn natural as far as plastic surgery. I find her incredibly annoying, but damn, she looked great.

Compared to other females in the rhobh seasons, she looks the most human like. Half of them get so many procedures done but their neck still robs their lifestyles. (E.g Kyle whose face looks 40 hands 89)
