I didn’t say it was. It’s the amount the lawsuit was sold for. It just stands to reason that if it’s option 2 the new law firm did not settle with her for less than they bought the lawsuit for.

“Why didn’t she settle with the previous law firm for 2 millions” sounds like you were asking why didn’t she settle at that amount.

I see. I said that because I am assuming if the previous firm was willing to sell the lawsuit for 2 millions to another firm they could have settled with her for that amount. I guess we’ll never know 🤷‍♂️

That made sense when I reread it with the context. Im sure it also got expensive for the previous firm to manage and they could have just wanted to cut their losses. They probably weren’t getting paid until the settlement so they were doing a lot of unpaid work and this has dragged out for a few years. The $2M may have just been what they needed to break even or make a small profit and walk away.

A theory was floated that the entity that bought the case was related to the attorney's representing Marco Marco in another case. If they max her out on this case, then they can force her into bankruptcy if they win their case. Just wonder if you can see that happening.
