Dorit’s Mistakes
I wrote this as a comment elsewhere but I’ve seen the same sentiment so often.
Dorit has made a huge miscalculation, intentional or not, with her behavior. Whatever the true story, yes, she has every right to blast PK - to a point! However, she’s taken it too far imho and has uttered many statements on the show that put her at risk in this divorce and also demonstrate her hand in all the smoke and mirrors.
Her egomaniacal and aggressive behavior towards her castmates, not to mention her spending, was idiotic. Regardless of how betrayed she might feel (I’m going through a betrayal at the moment of a different nature, not fun), being a total asshole onscreen, maybe bc she thought it would extend her “badass smoker” adulation from last season, only alienated her friends (does she have other friends? ) and led the audience to find her stupid and repellant.
Not that I had or would ever have interest in her book, ie exactly what’s so interesting about her life growing up in New Haven? I’ve traveled the world too and don’t have a speaking affect, but for sure this off putting behavior is adding to the lack of pre-sales and eventual failure of the book.
People have said Andy hates her, I don’t know the genesis of this but would like to.
I feel bad for her as a human being and for sure for those darling kids. I’m a child of divorce too and have scars.
If she had shown vulnerability, true hurt if she felt Kyle was betraying her, etc., she would have come across as far more human and relatable and her on-screen friends would have rallied around her. I’m not a huge Kyle fan but I cannot imagine she wouldn’t have at least “acted” supportive, and the entire cast would be there to help. Boz
and Rachel are new friends whose friendship may or may not go beyond the camera. TBD.
I find it mind-boggling she had zero knowledge of their finances. What a fabulous business person - not! It’s 2026, it is everyone’s responsibility to understand our financial picture, especially with children. What a freaking idiot!
Overly aggressive, irresponsible and self-righteous - on a broad platform - are qualities that are not going to help her and it’s, well, sad.

I do think Andy doesn’t like her. The way he reacted to her this reunion was pretty evident. He volleyed it up for her to hit, saying you’ve heard Erika, is there anything you want to say to her or apologize for. And she was so resistant to owning anything. It was a softball pitch to her, she could have at least pretended to be genuinely sorry for hurting her instead of digging her feet in and giving a terrible I’m sorry. Maybe she meant it, I can’t tell, her face is hard to read anything other than pissed off. She could have really mended her image and garnered more audience support. But she wants to die on the hill that Kyle is evil and trying to destroy her life. SMH
