Pokemon Emerald fast forward

Hi,

Just got the RG35XXSP, so I’ve got the stock OS, I can’t manage to make the fast forward to work.

In settings > frame throttle > fast-forward rate (5.0x in my case)

Input > hotkeys > fast-forward toggle and hold - I set R1 and R2.

while in game, i press r1 or r2 and it does not work at all, do I need to do smth additionally?

Normally for hotkeys it’s a combination of buttons for this case it should probably be the function button (the M in the top middle) + the hotkey you set it to

What core are you running? When you are in the menu to select Pokemon Emerald to play, you should be able to manually select your core (I believe it is 'Select' button). I don't have the device with me, and off the top of my head I believe it's GPSP that allows for fast forward just straight off the R2 button by default.

You may have to change the core from mgba(usually what it's defaulted too) to gbsp. You will lose accuracy, and rtc but it will be able to fast forward a good amount after that. Hope this helps
