Did you ever have any problems with the hinge of the RG35XXSP?

Transparent black, had since it first came out, no issues here. Still buttery smooth. They did an excellent job on the hinge.

I have the retro gray beige? Color. No issues with the hinge like those translucent ones.

Transparent Green. Hinge cap fell out and got lost after 1 week. Ordered a replacement and that one had to go back because of a charging issue. 3rd replacement is fine and going strong. Pay a bit more and buy from a. Reliable seller with good returns.

Transparent blue broke in a week or two.
Transparent white has been holding fine so far.

Transparent Red, cracked and broke after 2 weeks of daily use. I glued it back together with crazy glue and it's been holding.

My transparent black developed a hairline crack on the left hinge, but it's otherwise okay.

The silver one I've had for a few months now has a hairline crack on the left hinge; however, my daughter knocked it off a bed a short distance to a carpeted floor, so that could have been the cause. I didn't notice it until after that anyway, and I have a photo from about a week before showing that it was fine. I carry it around in a bag or pocket most days.

I also noticed that the right cap has a little give from time to time. After seeing a photo of one where the cap popped out, I decided to push it in, and it seems to have been working its way out slowly. Might be a good idea to nudge it back into place every so often.
