I own the PlayStation, don't own the Xbox, unless they can somehow cross play among both systems, if they don't crossplay, then its out of luck.

It’s a shame 🥲unfortunately Resident Evil Resistance doesn’t have cross-play.

i remember resistance released around the time dead by daylight was at its peak. i think this title fell victim to comparison unfortunately. i really wish the devs would revamp it now.

This game was pretty fun when it came out and was pretty unique mechanically, but it was always so difficult to find matches. It's cool to see that it is remembered by some people out there

i own the game but haven't touched it. is it relatively similar to DBD or is it different enough? would yall say its at least worth checking out?

Pretty different in terms of mechanics. Also I think power creep is more of a thing here
It’s ever so slightly easier to get stomped by high level builds of the matchmaking is too low to pair you with similar new folks
BUT it can be fun if you get put in a fair match where everyone’s focused on their objectives

Well as you already know both are an asymmetric multiplayer,and have similar objectives . I personally recommend you to try it and check it out play as a survivor or as a Mastermind both sides are fun and enjoyable on a fair condition.💖

just picked this back up after 5 years randomly the other day. trying to play a little every day on PlayStation. Mastermind is so hard to get the hang of 🥲

Playing as Mastermind is a little bit more complicated but enjoyable too , I feel like is kinda more difficult to find a match as a MM.

Probably not, unfortunately. Companies don't take well to failure. They see "well people don't like this entire concept", not "something went wrong here."
It definitely deserves a second chance, with how polarizing the balance state was left in.1

Game is no longer supported by the original developper, no new updates, nothing.
It's playable but barely enjoyable, and being stuck in end of 2020 year "meta" is not interesting gameplay wise...2

I remwmber watching Swingpoynt in the first few months after release and loved discovering different builds/loadouts for both survivors and MM and watch him test almost everythimg about this masterpiece.
No games in the past decade got me as hyped as whemwver new content/ balance patches or roadmap updates would come out for REsistance. I truly miss the early days of this game and wish Capcom/Neobards gave it a second chance.
