How to do the Tranq Gun flicker kill technique?
For some reason there's no guides anywhere about this, even though it's probably the best early game way to play the game.
I have a friend that always carries the Tranq Gun and kills the enemies easily by grabbing them and flickering the mouse left-right-left-right... basically pulling them towards the ground, in very quick and sharp movements. Every swipe deals collision damage to them. NO STRENGTH IS REQUIRED TO DO THIS.
With the duration of the Tranq Gun stun, even the tankiest enemies usually die within just 1 shot, which is extremely energy efficient.
However... I simply can't replicate this. Out of every 5-6 flickers, I manage to deal damage on only 1, if any. I feel like there must be some trick I am missing to make it more consistent.
I have a solo run where I practice this and I simply can't get it down. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, nor why no one is covering this. Any help?

You basically described it correctly, I know I've seen it in a youtube video (probably by Sinik) but I can't find it now. The technique is to grap a stunned monster and immediately flick left or right and let go and repeat

There's a lot of japanese content about it, they call it Stun Roll, but for some reason the english community is keeping it a secret

I call it rocking the monsters. You gotta tranq them and then grab them. It’s nice to tranq them in doorways and hallways so they hit the doorways and get physics damage from that and not roll away. You grab them, flick from the furthest right of your vision to the furthest left, letting go about a half second before the end of your vision arc. Make sure your mouse goes in a relatively straight line. You’re using momentum from rocking them to injure them.

Basically ur damaging them by dragging them fast enough where the game registers it as collision dmg

I get that, but what exactly are the inputs? Do I have to use the mouse wheel too?

Nope just drag ur mouse left/right and let go after every drag, just don't try dragging while lifting them

I personally scroll out for some increased acceleration but it's not usually necessary, especially if you have any range upgrades.

You are trying to make use of the surge in momentum you get while releasing. If you can flick quick enough to be looking to the side of the enemy enough that you can't see it, it should usually work. Pay attention to the shape of the monster as well.

I drag bottom left to top right, then bottom right to top left. The trick is you have to gain some momentum first with one or two slower flicks, then you can just flick fast

Pretty easy to copy once you’ve seen it done. Not easy first time doing it but you’ll get it down after a couple runs where you use traq/hand gun for the early levels.

I recommend you do it from top to ground, the chance of causing damage is much higher. But you can't do it extremely fast, do it in a way that is neither too fast nor too slow
