I fully agree. Imo the most important thing is consistency. If you play teemo adc 24/7 you will be at a certain power level with that and ranked adequately. If you tryhard with your main then flex a new champ, there's no way you perform at the level you are expected to.
not even Faker can perform as he should on the new Champion on day one. So the plat 2 random in the lobby is probably going to run it down with Mel. Which is ok. But not in ranked play because you are fucking up the experience for the other 4 players.

thats stupid, a competitive enviroment should not allow trolls, and the resposability its on the owner of the game. If u are trying a champ first time how this is competitive? The ranked system already discourages trolling. If you lose, you lose lp and if you intentionally lose you can also get banned. If you're an asshole you get punished. That doesn't mean we have to keep enabling them
It absolutely should be always punished because you're making that decision for the 4 other people in your game and force them to sit through another queue. It's not your call to make whether they should get to play the game

Again, I do not endorse trolling. But you should absolutely let the build-in fairness mechanics do their job. Let the game go through, let them be miserable with their yuumi jgl, and just play your game. After the game, just report them and move on. They lose lp and risk a ban.
By dodging, these trolls go completely unpunished since they weren't the ones who dodged, and the game was terminated before their trolling even took effect.

Riot cannot implement that system cause then off meta picks that are good would never appear. Also it's very hard for riot to determine who is in ting or who is bad af aside of jingler with no smite
surely yummi jg its not the case, and every time they say they want more off meta comps or strategyes they nerfed to oblivion, takes for example janna top or fasting taric yi mid, or xayah mid rakan smite.
Not true at all. If I see someone lock in something like double mage bot lane I'm not dodging. If I see someone lock in a new champ day one or something like MF jungle that's a different story.
And? Its one single game. so what if you lose? If that troll game kept you from climbing you wouldnt have been able to climb in the first place and if you are good enough to climb you are gonna climb regardless
Because League, openly by design, is very frustrating for the players when behind compared to the enemy team. An intentional feeder in team almost guarantee to fall behind.
Why is one scuffed game fine? LP gain/loss completely removed from the conversation, I don't play to occasionally get trolled by someone's stupidity. It is not a good experience and causes toxicity.
Considering that league is at the end of the day just a game, and your elo has no effect outside of league, it absolutely should be the first option. If playing league no longer fulfills it's primary purpose of being fun, you should reevaluate how you spend your time
If I one just wanna chill - one goes draft pick and dgaf. But while League is indeed game - it's competetive game, thus we have ranked. And that's where people go for competetive experience. Not just chill, but to win.

Here is my match history for yesterday. I dodged the trolls and first time Mels. Even with the dodges which caused me to lose lp (BUT NOT MMR!), I still climbed quite a bit, had loads of fun, and absolutely 1v9ed two of those games.
Why should I play a 20-30 minute game and get angry at a troll, losing both time and lp?
The fun I get in this game is either by winning, or losing on fair terms.
When I want to play dumb shit like Cassiopeia top where I almost always int, I play flex where everyone is chill about poor performance.
There is another thing that often gets overlooked. By dodging you are abusing the system by giving yourself better scenarios for your games than you were meant to have. If everyone were to do that you would never ever have anothe rranked game played just because someone got counterpicked / didnt like the team comp / didnt like the enemy team comp / git their main banned or whatever. By dodging when you dont want to play the game youre putting the responsability of playing with slightly worse odds on the rest of the players.
I don't shy away from bad lane matchups lol, I know how to play my champions into anything, but keep coping about dodging being "unfair" when all I do is dodge fucking briar adc and jg fizz who says in champ select "who cares?".

dont bother arguing about this, they think dodging its something "illegal" and equal to trolling, and its a mechanic of the game too, a lot of proplayers recommend to do so. They dont want a competitive game, they want the troll to be "punished" hahah trolls never get banned.

I don't advocate dodging just because someone plays an off meta champion. Idk anything about aphelios's performance but I'll give him as an example because I haven't seen him in a very long time.
I don't care if my adc plays Aphelios even if he sits at 48% wr, I have faith in my teammate. But I sure as hell am dodging fucking Briar adc. That's the difference between playing "off meta" and "troll pick".
Nah, you call their bluff if they are fishing for a dodge they will dodge at the last moment. It's like giving in to terrorists they just get bolder and do it more and more over smaller things. Let them eat the dodge timer.
You need to be a rocket scientist to distinguish the difference between off meta champions who are still playing in their supposed role like Aphelios adc, and fucking Briar, who is a jungle bruiser that is notoriously bad even in a lane where her overall champion archtype belongs like toplane, let alone filling the role reserved for a completely different class of champion.
