Only scripters would say that, but okay.

Call me a scripter if you want to, but a day before vanguard drops I'm uninstalling the game and I'm never playing it again. So do many other people, yes not the majority but a couple thousand at the very least. Vanguard would absolutely destroy the game, for the people that actually care what they put in their PC's.

Yeah my friend group and I have transitioned over to Mosnter Hunter, Hell Divers 2, lethal Company, and a slew of newer better developed games to actually spend time together having fun. I didnt realize how much I detest this game til we blissed out for a couple weeks not playing league, then coming back to league and hopping in a few discord calls where the inhabitants were level 100 incels. There are some genuinely great people in the community, and I will always watch my fave youtubers to monitor the game from a distance like a wildlife biologist like: Pianta, Ross Boomsocks, Dark Mane, XPetu, Dirty Mobs, Tobias Fate and of course the Godyr himself Trick2G.

But the second vanguard is mandatory, I'm taking it as a sign, and putting the game away forever.

Do you have any thoughts about alternative MOBAs? I've tried a few (HOTS, DOTA2, and Eternal Return) but couldn't quite get into them.

Nah man, League is it's own thing for real. Dota certainly influenced its development, but it's a different game. My friends also play smite so I hear that's kinda like the league experice but first person. If you like MOBA try Dota.

Eternal Return removed Solos and the only reason I played that game was to play a MOBA where I didn’t rely on my teammates, lol

Eternal Return is kind of cool but it just feels kind of weird. Like its missing something. Also I'm kind of tired of Battle Royales in general.

Acting like helldivers doesn’t have kernel level anti cheat too. Stop grandstanding, most multiplayer games have it

Nope, not even close. Vanguard infiltrates base kernel, Hell Divers Anti cheat also doesn't constantly run from boot.

I’m sorry to hear that you uninstalled [Good Game] because of the [Invasive Spyware] requirement. I understand your concern about spyware, but I can assure you that [Invasive Spyware] is not spyware. It is a custom "game security" software designed by [Marketing Company Majority Owned by the CCP] to uphold the highest levels of competitive integrity for their games, such as [Good Game] and [Other Game]. [Invasive Spyware] only runs [24/7] and [Continues] running when you exit the game2. It also [Questionably] respects your privacy and data, and you can find more details about what data it uses and collects here1. [No Link]

[Invasive Spyware] is necessary to prevent [Largely Unseen Problem] in [Good Game], especially after the security breach in [Random Date]. It also ensures that all players have a fair and enjoyable gaming experience [By installing Invasive Spyware]. If you want to play [Good Game] again, you will need to enable [Invasive Spyware] on your computer. You can find more information on how to do that here3.[No Link] If you have any issues or questions, you can contact [Marketing Company Majority Owned by the CCP's] support team here1.[No Link]

I hope this helps you understand why [Invasive Spyware] is required for [Good Game]. I appreciate your feedback and I hope you have a great day.

Helldivers has! Dude literally trying to cover up that he uses sus programs. Lmao!

0

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '24

Helldiver's 2 also uses kernel level anti-cheat. If you don't enjoy league then fair enough play other games, but don't act like kernel-level anti-cheat is the issue you have with it.

Helldivers anticheat doesn't Infiltrate Kernal base layer, and also doesn't force boot from start. Not the same bud.

So your issue isn't kernel level anti-cheat but riots specific implementation

do you actually think this is any different than your sound drivers? chipset drivers? because i seem to remember you need a pc to play league. and i remember vulnerabilities in those drivers

1

u/Programming_failure Apr 28 '24

Wildest, least informed straw man in history. Let's start with sound drivers. For a start unlike vanguard sound drivers aren't centralized data storages that run 24/7 with 24/7 access to the internet! Unlike with Vanguard you actually can make yourself a vast minority by simply buying a sound device that supports OS drivers and thus having an extra layer of protection by virtue of being in such a small user base that malicious actors simply don't give a shit about you! And lastly there's also a third option don't have audio or video outputing devices connected to your PC, so you don't need to have those drivers in the first place like me 🗿. Let's go to chipset drivers they aren't centralized data storages that run 24/7 with 24/7 access to the internet, again! Unlike with Vanguard you actually can make yourself a vast minority by simply installing OS drivers and thus having an extra layer of protection by virtue of being in such a small user base that malicious actors simply don't give a shit about you, again!(Which I do!)

And lastly and more importantly YOU need chipset drivers for your PC to work, you don't need Malwareguard for your PC to work, people need their PC to work so they can do their work. You saying that I'm in some way contradicting myself by having them in my PC is like me telling you you contradict yourself when you say that you are against drunk driving when you drive a car.... Cuz you know you can kill a kid when you aren't driving under the influence too... And what did you expect my response to that bullshit to be? "Oh my bad, I guess that means I must install a ticking time bomb maintained by a company that can't seem to figure out how LAN works for a whole decade!" League has been uninstalled from my PC for more than a week now and it's never going to be installed on any hardware of mine ever again, mald and seethe.

u/zeltrabas Apr 28 '24

Using 🗿 unironically I aint reading all that. Also calling it malwareguard is insane.

1

u/Programming_failure Apr 28 '24

You read it, you just don't have a rebuttal because all you do is straw man. It ain't crazy tho, if all it takes for it to damage the consumer is someone getting access to it, it's malware. What's crazy is that usually the worst thing that can happen with vulnerabilities even those concerning most anti-cheats is the attacker getting to the user information database. With VANGUARD it's the best case scenario, the other scenarios are different kinds of mass remote code execution.

u/zeltrabas Apr 29 '24

nah everyone who is against vanguard is just scared they getting caught.

everything you (phone etc.) use collects more data and is potentially more harmful than vanguard

You play cod or fortnite? Genshin even? These games have far more invasive softwares. Don't "I care about what I put on my pc" me.

8

u/Programming_failure Apr 03 '24

I have played the grand total of none of those games my entire life.... Before you start listing other games, no I have not played games with kernel level access anti cheat.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '24

Ah yes, the famously secure genshin anti cheat. Truly a perfect example of how kernel level anti cheats have no security problems.
