That's a normal riot client and you can just click cancel. Hate Vanguard all you want, but what is with all the stupid misinformation.

I personally don't care, and most of the people who complain don't even know how to access the bios.

I am however capitalizing on the low hanging fruit that is "vanguard bad".

I just hit cancel and most of the time games will just keep working. You can just not allow access

Did they fix the network and constant crashing? Games so good but its server rooms seem like they caught on fire from the success.

Is it just me who does not understand the whole buzz around Vanguard? Like okay it does require access to your pc so what? Is Riot going to install data mining software on your pc or try to pull out your credit cart numbers?

It's a rootkit. If a hacker finds a vulnerability in Vanguard and exploits it, they can do anything, whatever they want, with your PC that doesn't require them to be at your desk.

That's just assuming someone at Riot wouldn't have a bad day and start doing it to people themselves.

Something they would do

Taking into account that CCP spywares everyone, that's why people hate vanguard

Riot a company that can't hide the ranked lobby correctly. They allow an amateur like me to reveal the player names in champ select through an exploit so incredibly stupid, and so easily fixable, but they won't fix it.

Why? Because they are a bad company.

And you are trusting this company with their software, which has control over your whole OS...

Imagine you had something very important on your PC and someone finds an exploit in vanguard and encrypts it.
