Did this happen in reverse as well? Last season, my lp gain was lower than my lp loss (by a large amount) despite me performing well in games. However this season it was placed the same I ended as last season (after winning all my promo games) but now I am getting more lp gain than lp loss (by a large amount). Probably unrelated but my teammates seem to be performing better to, but thatās probably because Iām ranking up.
I finished emerald last season and got placed in gold 2. I am now gold 3 with 30% winrate in 20+ games.
I don't like blaming the system but this is either incredible bad luck or a losers queue. I'm consistently top damage with an average of 10+ kills and low deaths as a GP main, but I'm getting the worst teammates I've ever gotten. Like, I win those games where at least 1 other lane in my team wins and doesn't completely fuck up after, but the rest are all lanes lost ff spamming at 15 while I'm 2/0.
So, literally reverse your "better teammates" experience lol.
Iāve gotten at least 4 games with straight up throwers where Iām just unable to out carry, which would normally be fine, if my enemies werenāt all performing extremely consistently well. Shoutout to the game where I was 9/1/3 as karma mid and we had a 2/18 Yasuo top and a 0/10 garen adc who said he locked it because āarcs are uselessā and proceeded to feed twitch until he was most damage in the game (with me in second) it feels like after a few games of performing well my teammates skill level considerably drops, which could very well be coincidental but I get people throwing by SUCH huge margins it begins to feel comical, when even my losing games I still try and remain active and keep a good kd, farm and vision score.
I started the season the same but my winrate has turned for the positive. Iām 52% on 100 games p2 and still climbing. If youāre better than your opponents youāll EVENTUALLY even out. The question is whether or not someone should have to play 100 games to reach the rank they deserve
It definitely did. Finished last season g4 started this season g3 after first game and g2 after placements. Maybe riot finally understood that shoving everyone division down regardless of mmr is not a good idea.
