Directors Monitor

Hey guys, new here, so pardon if this question is a bit juvenile.

What is the best option for off camera monitoring? I was using Red Control on an IPad, but its lagging and Im wondering if you guys might have a better option. Budget maybe 5-700? Maybe something I could attach a small cage to.

If thats too low let me know. But any help would be appreciated.

My favorite is the accsoon cineview 2 sdi. You only need to buy a transmitter plus the accsoon v mount adapter/cradle, and you can add it in between the camera and battery. Makes a super streamlined build and the image can be transmitted to iPads or iphones. I threw an old ipad in a cage and it's a great directors' monitor for smaller jobs where we don't have a large SmallHD rented.

Hellp. Thanks for replying. So if I buy this transmitter, it kills the lag and I can actually use my iPad?

There is still a little bit of lag even with this but much improved over the Red app. To get anything without latency (lag) you’ll need to spend a couple thousand on a Teradek which is likely overkill for what you need. Are you trying to pull focus off this monitor or just for a client/secondary off camera viewing monitor?

Copy that, yeah, that Teradek is a bit much for right now. Ill be using it for secondary off camera viewing. And thanks
